- Not talking about how you should do it. I‘m mainly going to tell you about my time line of how i got to the point where I thought I had to do it. Check out Jay Stapley‘s talk from .....
- Played gigs at various London venues and recorded a few demoes. In small London studios using 8 and 16 track tape machines oh and ADAT (digital).
- Promo didn‘t really come off and the label was ready to drop us again. But we recorded a really good demo on a digital recorder by Roland. Less money for second album, so I recorded half of it myself.
- Managed to play a small tour around Germany after the release of the album. But not much happened and we parted ways. Radio jobs. Sound engineering. Bought more stuff, mics and such ....
- Drums from Finland. Backing vocals from Norway, the rest, home sweet home. Released it digitally and made sure people could get it for free. Recorded everything myself apart from drums and bv‘s. Did the mix myself and had it mastered at Abbey Road.
- It‘s a good idea to have an accountant to help with this. May 14 I registered Amphibic Records Ltd at Companies House.
- Did a run of 100 to get started, as the proper pressing takes 12 – 20 days with sample printing.
- I normally appear live with cello and other string players. In Norway, I play with a bassoon player.
