This far-reaching community outreach initiative builds on the NBA’s long tradition of addressing important social issues with an emphasis on programs that support education, youth and family development, and health-related causes.
MissionThe NBA and its teams and players have reached children and families near and far, from Boston to Beijing. NBA Cares works with internationally-recognized, youth-serving organizations that are geared toward these key social issues: education, youth and family development and health-related causes. What It Means To The Players
Where Caring Happens The reason we chose this project is because players are often stereotyped and we wanted to emphasize that players often give back to their communities. The target audience for this project are all fans of the NBA and their communities. The fact that NBA players take time out of their busy days to give back to the communities and help out with projects really shows their true character and their loyalty to communities.
