1. DBAT Description:
DBAT is the Downstream Business Allocation Tool. This is a system which has been setup to allow
Businesses within Shell to allocate their costs and apply calculations down to a more detailed level.
This is done using actual transactional data or reference data and applying Business Allocation or
Calculation Rules to specific Costs. Therefore it would be helpful in better understanding of the

2. Upstream:
Upstream business is very critical to SHELL. IBM SOM (Service operation management) will be
playing key role for upstream and responsible for ETL part (SSIS, Biztalk, Control-M and File Mover)
providing production system and non-production system support and handling enhancements upon
business demand.

 Involved in gathering user requirements for DBAT SSIS interface enhancements
 Designed and Developed new SSIS packages for DBAT application to load US fuels data
 Used various transformation tasks to create ETL packages for data conversion.
 Playing Team Lead(SSIS Team) for role for Upstream business from IBM SOM
 Designed and created new Control-M jobs to run the SSIS interfaces as per schedule
