Objectives:
 1. Surveys to assess the magnitude of Iodine
Deficiency Disorders in the districts.
 2. Supply of iodated salt in place of common salt.
 3. Resurveys to assess iodine deficiency disorders
and the impact of iodated salt after every 5 years in
the districts.
 4. Laboratory monitoring of iodated salt and
urinary iodine excretion.
 5. Health Education and Publicity.
1. National Iodine Deficiency Disorders
control Programmes(NIDDCP)


 nodal Ministry for implementation of National
Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Programme
(NIDDCP)has been created.
 consumption of adequately iodated salt has been
increased from 51.1% (2005-06) to 71.1% in 2009.
 National Reference Laboratory for monitoring of
IDD has 4 Regional laboratories and 35 States
laboratorie .s have been formed
Functioning and Outcome

 Objectives:
 a) To reduce Prevalence rate less than 1/10,000
population at sub national and district level.
 b) To reduce Grade II disability % < 1 among new
cases at National level
 c) To reduce Grade II disability cases < 1 case per
million population at National level.
 d) Zero disabilities among new Child cases.
 e) Zero stigma and discrimination against persons
affected by leprosy.
2. National Leprosy Eradication
Programme (NLEP)

 NLEP functions under the umbrella of National
Health Mission (NHM).
 Diagnosis and treatment of Leprosy.
 Capacity Building
 Information, Education and Communication (IEC)
and counseling
 Disability Prevention and Medical Rehabilitation
 NGO services.
Functioning and Outcome

OBJECTIVE.
 To ensure the availability and accessibility of minimum
mental healthcare for all in the foreseeable future,
particularly to the most vulnerable and underprivileged
sections of the population;
 To encourage the application of mental health knowledge
in general healthcare and in social development; and
 To promote community participation in the mental health
service development and to stimulate efforts towards self-
help in the community.
