Sound features banging on the door, ominous music, and a gunshot that stops the music abruptly, creating tension.
Final film plot idea
Hugo secretly hacks into the phone of a villainous character who works for an evil corporation from the shadows of a building. Hugo is able to complete the hack without being noticed. Through technology, Hugo is then able to control traffic lights and direct the villainous character into a dark alley. Narrative Presentation
- 1. Short film narrative and theories Sam Hooper
- 2. Narrative My short film opens with my male lead waking up in the morning with a narration discussing the loneliness associated with being the last person on earth. He talks about the things that are better with no one else around (Freedom, safety, free things) he then contrasts this with the darker side of being the last human on earth i.e. depression, loneliness. This entire scene is in black and white and so is every scene after this until noted otherwise.
- 3. We are then shown black and white long shots of our lead character wandering around parks and the town (Either on a bike or on foot, undecided). These shots are paired with the continuation of the narration about certain trivial things like the weather, phone battery and just internal ramblings about life in general.
- 4. When disscussing his new found love of photography our character looks through his camera and see’s a girl walking away down the road looking lost. We are met with our first bit of on screen dialogue from our male lead character (‘Sh**’). He then ditches the bike and begins to run after her. The music starts and all the shots turn from black and white into colour (Including a montage of previous shots turning into colour). Following this we are shown further long shots of our lead looking frantically for the girl, down ally ways, streets, houses. With no luck he turns down a road and bumps head on into her. (The music stops when they collide). They are both shocked and speechless until the girl says ‘Who the fu-’ before getting cut off by a black screen and a continuation of the music.
