WESTERN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FORUM
                        PREPARING MINDS AND SPACE

                          TO THE OIL & GAS CULTURE



   I.     Objective:
This Forum aims at CREATING AN INTEGRATED AGENDA FOR THE WESTERN
REGION.

It will do so by building on achievements made in the public debate on O&G in Ghana,
including:
    • Availability of draft O&G legislation (to be made available at the event by the
         organizers)
    • Summary of Citizens’ Summit on O&G organized by the Civil Society Platform on
         O&G held on June 24, 2010 in Accra
    • Draft Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the Oil Sector in Ghana.


   II.     Output:

The Forum will include three sessions each with four presentations and time for discussion
after each session.

The output is a “Western Region Agenda” which, building on national processes, described
the priority actions for the Western Region and its stakeholders.
