Experience:
Technical Intern at Richie Technocrats’ Pvt.Ltd, Hyderabad. Apr 2013- Jun 2013
o Assisted in designing Network models with the resources available using Network Simulators (GNS3).
o Supporting and testing the Local Area Networks, configuring switches and troubleshooting network
administration issues.
o Writing test cases to determine whether network is satisfying all requirements.
Relevant Projects
Adaptive Bit rate streaming over high speed networks. Fall ‘16
o Developed and simulated a network which multicasts multimedia traffic from server to the end users
with adaptive bit rate. We have used Opnet test bed simulator to execute the project.
Voice over Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks (Hands-on SIP-based VoIP Experiment). Fall ‘16
o Designed an Ad-Hoc network with two clients and a server initiating a Voice over IP call between the
clients. Configured the network with SIP protocol. Used X-Lite 5.0 simulator.
Performance and analysis of AD-HOC Protocols using NS-2 (Network Simulator). Spring ‘16
o Developed different AD-HOC networks with multiple mobile nodes and background traffic. Configured
the network with AD-HOC protocols (AODV, DSDV, DSR, TORA) and studied the results. Have use python
to parse the generated trace files. Used Network Simulator 2.
Simulation of Label-Switching Networks Using NS3 Tool [MPLS based project] Spring ‘16
o Understand how to simulate MPLS networks learnt in class with case study of label switching networks
using NS3.
IP Hijacking and its Mitigation Techniques [Simulated using Deterlab] Spring ‘16
o Performed Prefix and SubPrefix hijacking techniques. Sniffing the data between client and server after
hijacking the victim’s IP subnet mask. Performed Denial of service attacks.
o Analyze the comparisons and figuring out the defense techniques that can be used against BGP Hijacking.
DoS & its Mitigation Techniques [Tools: GNS3,Wireshark] Fall, 2015
o Performed DDoS attack (SYN flood) on a network with client on one side and multiple attackers on other
side of N/W. Configured methodologies such as Access-lists and Port Security to mitigate DoS attacks.
Sniffing Passwords using Wire Shark and securing them with VPN. [Tools: GNS3,Wireshark] Fall. 15
o Designed a network with a client on one site and server on the other, which are vulnerable for data theft.
o Implemented IPsec VPN between the two sites to protect all the data transfer.
