The document describes a project at Bridgewater State University aimed at intentionally teaching students career readiness skills needed to transition from college to a professional career. University staff conducted surveys to identify 28 key skills employers seek. Career services programming was aligned around developing these skills through workshops, events, online resources and appointments. Staff also implemented assessment strategies to evaluate if students are learning and practicing skills, and to help improve programming. The goal is to help students and staff clearly understand the career office's focus on supporting the student to professional transition.
