4. St Albans market is located in the South of
England. With over 160 stalls on Wednesdays and
Saturdays. Am interested in how the market is set
up and wrapped up after closing and what can be
done to improve this process. Should this be a
designed construction and if yes how far should
this go to not destroy the fun?
A line of cut out strips each strip represents each
stall exactly all next to each other.
5. This page shows how the structures can connect
to one another and Sketches show the endless
possibilities with this structure Design. you can
attach detach extra parts, a table hang things off.
The flexibility of the designed structure improves
the spatial qualities for more product display and
storage as well as the social engagement with their
customers. Not only is the structure easy to fold
open and set it up, but also the process saves more
time. This idea of shop keepers setting up their
own stalls makes the process much quicker than
a small group of people setting up 160 stalls from
small pieces. This process and structure could be
applied onto other Sunday markets as well.
7. After walking around the station it felt like
everything is surrounded by buildings. The
proposal is an elevated walkway on top of
Brighton which starts from inside the station. It
will connect to a series of cafes and restaurants,
which will be more like an extension of their
seating area. This creates the feeling of being able
to watch from the top of the buildings and locate
the beautiful views and the sea.
11. Erection of a mansard roof extension at second
floor level to provide a new studio flat; Provision
of a rear roof terrace at second floor level and the
rear extensions at the existing ground floor and
first floor level.
