Introduction
 Internal Quality Assurance Cell (I Q AC) has been
working in this college for many years. It is
constituted as per guidelines of NAAC. Besides
faculty members of the college, it is composed of
the members representing various stakeholders
like administrative office, Local society,
Industries, Alumni, Students. etc. Presently, it is a
composite body of 24 members maintaining the
proper co ordination with the teaching and non-
teaching staff of college.
The aims and Objectives
 The aim and objective of IQAC of this college is to
carry out various activities and to develop a
system for conscious, consistent and catalytic
action for improving the academic and
administrative performance of our college. It
aims to usher in quality enhancement and
quality culture through institutionalizing and
internalizing all the initiatives being taken time
to time.
Role and Function
 Needless to suspect, IQAC maintains overall
quality standards in this college acting as a
monitoring body. It acts as a nodal agency for
co-ordinating quality related activities
including adoption and dissemination of the
best practices. The major role and function of
IQAC is to maintain quality standard in
teaching, learning and evaluation.
Decision and Action Taken Report
 Now I am briefing the decision taken by IQAC during the
last five academic sessions; 2014-15 to 2018-19. Sir, First of
all, IQAC decided to constitute a committee to update
website of college so that activities, programmes, plannings,
events, video contents, documentations may be uploaded
for providing information to various stakeholder like
students, parents, guardians and whosoever is interested. It
was resolved to install CCTV cameras block wise and at
different important places of college to monitor every
activity from the Principal office.
 What is more, in the very first meeting of IQAC of
every academic session, academic calendar and other
intended plannings were discussed, debated and
overhauled in favour of the largest interests of the students.
Quality culture among faculty
members
 Importantly enough, to promote quality culture among faculty
members, IQAC encouraged teachers to write research papers
in national and Inter-national journals of high impact factor.
They were encouraged not only to organize seminar and
workshop in college but to participate and present papers in
National and International seminars and conferences. The
financial assistance was provided to them from Radha
Krishnan Fund of the Institution. As a result, most of our
teachers were acknowledged with marvelous achievements.
Their articles/Papers were published in National and
International journals. Many of our teachers were involved in
research work too. Some completed their Ph. D programmes
and other guided M.Phil and Ph. D students as supervisors.
Co-Curricular Activities
 On the recommendation of IQAC, to develop over
all personality of students, every year so many
activities like Talent Search Programme,
Plantation Programme, Beti Bacho Beti Padhao
Campaign, Clean India Campaign, Declamation
contest, Science Exhibition, Run for unity
campaign, cooking workshops, Legal Literacy
Programmes, NSS one day and one Week camp,
NCC programmes and sports events etc were
organized time to time in a very effective and
result oriented way.
Automation of library and Use of
ICT
 Add to this, IQAC recommended for upgradation
and automation of library so that e- Library may
be developed facilitating e-texts, e-contents,
graphics, motion video etc. IQAC exhorted
teachers to use ICT
 ( Information and Communication Technology)
in perusal of teaching – learning process. Many
of our teachers started operating Power Point
Presentations in the class room. Online classes
and uploading video contents and materials are
still in use due to Covid -19.
Feedback from students
 IQAC also decided to get feedback from students
to improve the teaching learning process. A
committee was constituted to analyze student’s
satisfaction survey by supplying them a
questionnaire. It was analyzed later on and
suggestions were issued accordingly.
Lesson Plan
 Interestingly enough, sir , in all inaugural
meeting of IQAC of different sessions, teachers
were asked to prepare lesson plans in
accordance to course contents and they were
asked to display them not only on notice board
but to upload the same on web Portal of college
also. All teachers were directed to take class tests,
assignments, seminars, presentation of students,
self –study papers of P.G. classes timely and in a
very effective manner.
Outreach programmes
 Moreover, IQAC discussed a calendar of co-curricular
activities and it recommended to organize various
outreach programmes like ‘Orientation cum Induction
programme’ for new arrival ; campus Placement Fare,
Poetry & speech competition , Essay Writing
Competition, District Level Science quiz competition,
Self Defence Training for girls, Blood Donation Camp,
Winter Adventure Educational Camp, Cultural
Programme ‘Jhankar’, Communal Harmony week,
National Conference in Psychology Dept., State Level
Poster Competition, District Youth Assembly, Extension
Lecture, Haryanvi Folk Festival and so on.
Career Advancement Scheme
 Sir, under career Advancement Scheme of Higher
Education Department, every year IQAC assessed
API score of Assistant Professors for their
different scales. Resultantly, a number of
Assistant Professors were promoted as Associate
Professors facing Interview before a panel
chaired by ACS (Additional Chief Secretary) of
the Department.
Inspiring students to use
Library & Language Lab.
 IQAC asked editorial Board of the magazine
‘Pinaki’ to inspire students for writing their
articles on different topics so that quality culture
may be escalated among students. It also
recommended for upgradation of ‘Language Lab’
to improve linguistically backward students.
Conclusion
 Last but not least, it can be said unhesitatingly that
IQAC is an inevitable asset for this institution. Because
of its pressure techniques and capability of taking
repeated quality initiatives, we got numerous positions
in university merit list and Gold medals in P.G. Classes
during the last five years. Various students of five Post-
Graduate Classes not only qualified NET (UGC) but got
a reputed placement in private and Govt. Sector
joining as Assistant Professors. To cap it all, the existed
body of IQAC of this college keeps promoting insatiable
urge to read, learn and teach in a very conducive
environment.
Thank You
