This document addresses several myths and facts regarding Roseville's ATPPS (Alternative Teacher Professional Pay System). It dispels myths such as ATPPS being a partisan conspiracy, resulting in huge additional meetings, or being forced upon teachers. It also clarifies facts such as ATPPS observations not being evaluative, most teachers finding value in ATPPS, and the potential long-term financial benefits through increased retirement benefits. Survey results from Roseville teachers found most felt students and their own instruction benefited from ATPPS work.
