scenic Mysore, it was established on 27th
July 1916 by the benevolent reign of the
Maharaja of Mysore, His Highness Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar. Spread over 400 acres
in the middle of Mysore cit, it has 42 departments at the famous Manasagangothri
campus and two PG centers at Mandya and Hassan with 5 PG departments each and one

Hassan, (iv) University Satellite Centre, Chamarajanagar, Constituent Colleges and
Government/ Private Affiliated Colleges for the academic year 2014-15.
Entrance Examination is Compulsory for all Postgraduate Degree courses for all
candidates except foreign nationals with foreign degree. Candidates have to
apply and appear for entrance exam separately for separate courses, except
M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Tech (CCT) and M.Tech (CST) for which candidates have to

1. Filing the application for entrance examination and later for admission shall be
through ONLINE ONLY.
2. The payment of corresponding fee shall also be ONLINE / E-Payment- ONLY
3. For every entrance examination that a candidate wishes to take the Entrance
Examination fee is Rs.150/ - per course irrespective of Center/College.

6. Separate notification will be issued for admission to M.Phil Courses.
7. Entrance Examination will be conducted for all courses. Admission shall be
made on the basis of the merit list prepared by taking into consideration 50%
of the aggregate marks obtained in the relevant subjects at qualifying Degree
Examination (all three years), and 50% of marks obtained in the Entrance
Examination.

Note:
1. For the details of total intake under Normal and Enhanced fees and
Entrance Exam Schedule for different courses in PG Departments, PG
Centres, Constituent Colleges and Government/ Private Affiliated Colleges

2. The candidates claiming reservation under Cat-I, IIA, IIIA and IIIB are
required to pay full fee at the time of admission. Subsequently the Govt.
would reimburse the same directly to their respective SB A/c.
3. Applications without valid certificates and inadequate information will not
be considered and are liable to be rejected.
4. Admissions will be made as per the Government orders issued from time to
time relating to reservation of seats. Allotment of seats to other university
candidates is as per the existing rules of the university.
