The document provides a snapshot of key humanitarian issues in Myanmar as of July 2015. Over 100,000 people displaced by conflict in Kachin and Shan states for the past 4 years still require aid as temporary shelters deteriorate. Heavy rains and flooding in July affected over 200,000 people across several states. In Rakhine State, about 130,000 remain displaced 3 years after communal violence erupted. A study found that while aid reaches people, communication and engagement with affected communities could be improved. The $189 million humanitarian appeal was only 37% funded.
