My Tundra Project By: Kathryn E.
Two types of Tundra are Alpine Tundra and Arctic Tundra.
Arctic Tundra is a cold, vast, treeless area of low, swampy plains in the far north around the Arctic Ocean.
The Arctic Tundra can be found in Europe in Lapland and Scandinavia, Asia in Siberia, and North America in Alaska and Canada.
The Alpine Tundra is treeless because of high elevation rather than high altitude.
The Alpine Tundra is treeless because of high elevation rather than high altitude.
Permafrost is a frozen layer of soil that stays frozen all the time.
Three kinds of animals that live in the Arctic Tundra are polar bears, Arctic Foxes, and caribou.
