This document provides a brief summary of the planets in our solar system. It describes the key features of each planet from Mercury to Neptune, including their position from the Sun, size, composition and notable characteristics. Mercury is the smallest and closest planet to the Sun with a thin atmosphere. Venus has a dense, greenhouse atmosphere that makes it the hottest planet. Earth is the only known planet that supports life. Mars is known as the Red Planet due to its iron oxide surface. Jupiter is the largest planet and has the Great Red Spot storm. Saturn is notable for its beautiful ice rings. Uranus was the first planet discovered with a telescope. Neptune has very strong supersonic winds and is an ice giant.

planet from the sun
and the smallest planet
in the solar system and
mercury has a thin
atmosphere and orbit
too fast.

3. Venus – is the
second planet from
the sun and it’s
structure and size is
similar to earth venus
thick atmosphere
traps the heat in a
runaway greenhouse
effect making it the
hottest planet in our
solar system.

4. Earth – is the third
planet from the sun
and the only place
known in the
universe where life
has originate and
found habitability and
earth is the only
planet to sustain
water in it’s surface
and earth has a
dynamic atmosphere
which sustain earth
surface condition and
protects it from
different meteoroids.

5. Mars – also known
as the RED PLANET
because of its red
sand and mars is a
terrestrial planet and
planet with a surface
that consist of
mineral like silicon
and oxygen metals
and other elements.

6. Jupiter – is a gas
giant and it’s the
largest planet in the
solar system and
also Jupiter has a
giant red spot that is
called “THE GREAT
RED SPOT” that red
spot is a large storm
that is twice the size
of the earth.

7. Saturn – is the
second largest planet
in our solar system
and Saturn is unique
in our solar system
because of its
beautiful ice rings
other ice giants has a
ring but none are
spectacular as
saturn.

8. Uranus – is the
seventh planet from
the sun and the
coldest planet in the
solar system and
Uranus was the first
planet to be
discovered with a
telescope and
Uranus is the third
largest planet in the
solar system.

9. Neptune – is the
eight planet in the
solar system and
Neptune is a dark
cold planet and
Neptune has a very
strong winds
Neptune’s wind is
faster than sound
and Neptune is an
ice giant.
