Recruitment Activities & Events
A Lakehead Campus Tour Guide is an ambassador for the university welcoming
prospective students/applicants and their family members to the Lakehead
University campus. Tour Guides showcase the university's offerings in a friendly,
courteous and engaging way to promote the experiences, facilities and services
available to students. Guides are familiar with the various areas of the campus
and are able to provide general information about the services and program
offerings available. Excellent public speaking and communication skills are
essential in order to relay information, answer questions and engage in
conversations that will contribute to a student's choice to apply and/or attend
Lakehead. These are paid positions and hours vary depending on the number of
tour requests. In addition to individual tours, Tour Guides also lead large tour
groups and special interest groups visiting the campus throughout the year.
