2. Well I grew up in one of them old farm towns
Where they hit it hard till the sun goes down
Nobody really seemed to care that we were living in the
middle of nowhere
We just figured that’s how it was
And everyone else was just like us
Soaking in the rain baking in the sun
Don’t quit till the job gets done
Lyrics to “The Only Way I Know” by Jason Aldean
3. I grew up on a small farm near Pleasant Hope,
Missouri. My mother was a teacher and counselor
and my father was a farmer. I was raised to work on

that was instilled in my life from a very young age.
4. I grew up showing pigs, playing softball, helping my
grandparents in the garden, swimming and camping at
the lake, and playing in the dirt.
5. “Everybody knows everybody, everybody calls you
friend
You don’t need an invitation, kick off your shoes

Lyrics from “I’m From the Country” by Tracy Byrd
6. In High School I was active in FFA, FBLA, NJS, FTA,

Degree from Missouri State University.
7. Sometimes I thank God, for unanswered prayers
Remember when you’re talkin’ to the man
upstairs
That just because he doesn’t answer doesn’t
mean he don’t care
Some of God’s greatest gifts, are unanswered
prayers.
Lyrics from “Unanswered Prayers” by Garth
Brooks

There'll be only happy tears
