Elizabeth Reed is currently a senior majoring in Mass Communications at Norfolk State University. She plans to obtain her bachelor's degree and then pursue a master's degree and doctorate in Communications Management from Norfolk State. Her long term goal is to start her own production company specializing in advertising and film production. She understands the importance of training and experience, so she intends to gain skills through internships, volunteering, and jobs in the communications field to help her launch a successful business in the future. Within 10 years, she envisions her production company being well-established and helping support her family and community.

2.  My future holds a lot of
surprises and much
success. In my efforts
to securer upon a
fruitful line of business,
I plan to take what I
have learned
throughout my high
school and collegiate
careers and apply it to
my livelihood.

3. Now. . .
 I am a student at Norfolk State University
majoring in Mass Communications. I enjoy
every aspect of my major, and intend on
learning more on what a B.S. in Mass
Communications entitles its scholars.

4.  I am very much familiar
with both the
productions and
journalism sides of
Mass Communications.
I do enjoy editing,
producing, and
directing, as well as
composition of writing
samples.

5. Education
 As a senior, I am working towards and B.S.
in Mass Communications with a minor in
Business Management
 Upon graduation from Norfolk State, I do
indeed plan on immediately proceeding to
graduate studies in Mass Communications.

Masters program. I will

7. Afterwards. . .
 After obtaining my Doctorates in Mass
Communications I would like to serve as an
entrepreneur in my own production company.
My production company will specialize in the
production, editing, filming, and directing of
advertisements, short movies etc.

8. Training
 Although I do want to serve
as an entrepreneur of my
own venture, I do
understand that proper
training and experience is
required. I intend on
receiving experience by
participating in internships,
volunteering, and working in
my preferred field.

9.  Through the various training received from
my various jobs, volunteering, and
internships I will have the resources, such as
business relationships and knowledge, to
network with individuals as motivated,
knowledged, and hard working as I.

10. Family?
 I’m not sure yet
whether or not I will
have kids, I will worry
about that in another
ten years. As of right
now, my main focus is
on my future as an
entrepreneur and a
learned scholar.

11. 10 Years From Now. . .
 10 years from now I
can see myself
standing on top of a
flourishing corporation
working towards
making the future of my
family, and community
as guaranteeing as
possible.
