6. My Greatest Experience Associated
with FBLA
FBLA has provided me with a wealth of knowledge, skills, and connections. The greatest experience I have
experienced with FBLA would be serving as a Region Officer! I have had the honor to serve as a Region
Officer for two consecutive years which has allowed me to learn some of the most important and life
essential skills I know.
As a two-time Region Officer I went through numerous training sessions with FBLAAlumni, Team Tri
Members, and business leaders from whom I have learned skills such as public speaking, workshop
presentation, and leadership skills. I have used these skills in my everyday life as a student, entrepreneur,
and especially as a leader. Carrie Underwood taught me how to be a confident speaker and tell the world
what I have to say and how to make it count. Ryan Underwood built on Mrs. Underwood’s foundation and
taught me how to developed a meaningful workshop and impact those in the audience. The three Region
Officer Academies I have attended have been some of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences in my
life. Being a Region Officer has given me the opportunity to learn from the best of Georgia FBLA, Cody
Batchelor, Sarah Beth Marchert, Gabbi Benton, and Tamara Andrews, who have taught me some of the most
valuable leadership skills I can implement beyond FBLA. As a Region Officer I have interacted with
members from all over the state and made valuable connections. As a Region Officer I have gained
experience in public speaking by presenting workshops and presiding over conferences and events, with
these opportunities I can be the best leader I can possibly be. I want to thank Georgia FBLA for having the
Region Officer Program, it has truly been the most educational, memorable, and enjoyable experiences in
my life and I will use the skills throughout my life to lead others and to pursue my goals.
8. Thank You FBLA
FBLA has impacted my career goals by providing an abundance of educational opportunities. FBLA has
provided me with academic, technical, and employability skills and knowledge to pursue my goal of
becoming a neurosurgeon. FBLA is truly the most phenomenal organization I have ever taken part in. FBLA
has provided me with the best experiences in leadership, networking, and business. I will incorporate the
knowledge I have received during FBLA and apply it to own my own medical clinics in developing
countries to help those who are suffering from a lack of healthcare in addition to my neurological practice
here in the United States. FBLA has constructed a pathway for me to build my future as both a doctor and an
entrepreneur.
In sixth grade FBLA inspired me to pursue the goal of becoming an entrepreneur. I have taken business
classes which are co-curricular with FBLA and both have provided me knowledge in business, finances, and
technology. As a doctor I will be able to use the skills and knowledge I have been taught in my technology
classes to learn new medical equipment impacting my patients at home and abroad. The greatest impact I
have ever had in my life are the leadership opportunities I encountered in FBLA. Being a Middle Level State
Officer, a chapter president for over five years, a two-time region officer, and the director of an international
FBLA council have prepared me for my career as a doctor by teaching me the leadership skills I will use
throughout my life. The leadership experience I gained in FBLA will allow me to lead my staff of doctors in
my clinics as well as in other enterprises.
FBLA has connected me with leaders in the business community who have provided me great insight and
helped me in becoming an entrepreneur. In 2015, I founded my own non-profit organization known as
Helpful Hydration. Helpful Hydration, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing substantial water to
communities in sub-Saharan Africa who are suffering from access to clean water and proper sanitation.
Through FBLA I am able to bridge the gap of communication service and entrepreneurship. This business
community aided in capital with investment and FBLA is where I discovered a passion for helping others.
I can say without a doubt being a chapter, regional and state officer have been the most enjoyable and life
changing experiences I have ever had to date. FBLA has become an integral part of my life, which I will
continue to participate in long after high school. Thank you FBLA for changing my life forever!
