Ciaran Carroll is an experienced strength and conditioning coach seeking new opportunities. He has over 5 years of experience coaching at both the professional and amateur levels in rugby union. This includes a year-long internship with Harlequins RFC in the English Premiership. Currently, he runs his own training business and coaches sprint groups and teams in athletics and tag rugby. I seamlessly assisted with all aspects of Strength and Conditioning and Sport
Science in place at the club, earning the respect, trust and continued friendship
of both coaches and players alike.
Regularly consulted both the Head and Assistant strength coaches, leading to
major developments in my own coaching philosophy, which cemented my ability
to implement high performance strength and conditioning programs.
Became highly proficient and confident in coaching and supervising gym based
strength and power training sessions to large groups of players.

Designed and implemented a weight training program specific to needs of
sprinters (18 athletes ranging in age from 26 yrs to 13yrs) which has directly led
to improvements in maximal outputs across the sprint group.

movement patterns and athlete safety.

Successfully designed and implemented a comprehensive strength and
conditioning programme based on the individual skill levels of the athletes.
The program specifically targeted improvements in the athletes ability to repeat
high intensity sprinting in corralation with game demands.
Pre and post testing demonstrated improvements in Repeated Sprint Ability, Max
Aerobic Speed, acceleration and agility tests.
Results achieved through a combination of gym based stength and power
training, along with field/track based sprinting and conditoning sessions.

Strength and Conditioning Coach
The remit was to put into effect a successful training program, which would
improve rugby specific conditioning and lead the club to promotion. I was
responsible for all program design, implementation and monitoring.
The club won the league and achieved promotion for the first time in many
years, having won 22 from 26 games across the season.
I delivered individualised periodised training plans, which improved force –
velocity profiles for those who maintained an adherence of above 80%.
Introduced a nutritional monitoring strategy through the use of Myfitnesspal and
used the data to influence positive changes in diet and body composition.
Created effective working relationships with coaching, medical and playing staff.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
I enjoy powerlifting and have achieved a 210 Back Squat, 240 Deadlift and 155 Bench
Press at 93kg bodyweight.
I have recently set up an Olympic Weightlifting training group and plan to develop this

I like going for a coffee with friends and taking European city breaks.
