SUMMARY:
I am looking for full-time employment having taken Volountary Severance from London Unground
Ltd after 18 years service. I am a motivated, self starter with a pro-active attitude towards Customer
Care and a passion for leading by example.
EXPERIENCE:
London Underground Ltd / Transort for London.
I worked for the Underground for 18 years, starting as a Station Assistant and working through the
ranks as a Ticket Clerk, Control Room Assistant, Station Supervisor to Customer Service Manager. I
am experienced in all aspects of running a Railway Station ensuring KPIs are met including Customer
Care (both the general traveling customer as well as other stake holders such as: Contractors,
Tenants, Neighbours and Engineers), Safety & Security (Station Supervisor is a Safety Critical role),
Asset Maintenance, Cleaning and Ambience as well as Managing service disruptions (whether from
planned Engineering Works or from Passenger Incidents or Asset Failures). I am trained/qualified in
putting Escalators and Lifts in and out of service as well as dealing with customer incidents on said
equipment. I hold an NVQ in Rail Transport Operations as well as an NVQ in Worked Based
Assessment, having been responsible for over 130 staff at TFL’s Kings Cross St Pancras Underground
Station.
As well as dealing with the day to day Customer Enquiries about Tickets, Directions and Lost
Property, I also dealt with and assisted with Operational problems such as Signal Failures, Persons
Under Trains, SPADS, Scotching & Clipping of Points, Traction Current issues (Section Switches) I am
also experienced in dealing with many incident types including, Missing Persons, Fire Alerts, Security
Alerts, Lift/Escalator incidents, Persons Ill on Trains, Trespassers on the Track, Platform Train
Interface incidents, large scale crowd control and major service disruption.
Lawson Estate Agents.
Prior to joining London Underground I worked for four years as a Negotiator in a busy High Street
Estate Agents office. This was an intensely Customer Focussed role involving all aspects of Sales
Marketing and Negotiating in a busy Property Market place.
Database Administration.
After leaving Higher Education I worked for two years as a self- employed Database Administrator
and Data Input Clerk but after working for an Estate Agents in Central London went on to work as a
Negotiator for Lawson.
2. QUALIFICATIONS:
NVQS: NVQ Level 2 Rail Transport Operations and
NVQ Level 3 Work Based Assessor.
Higher Education
BTEC HND in Computer Studies obtained at West London Institute of Higher Education (Now
integrated within Brunel University).
In addition I achieved 3 A Levels or equivalents and 6 O’Levels (inc. English and Maths).
I have a Full Driving License.
INTERESTS:
I am a big fan of both Rugby Codes. I like reading, Sci-Fi and Fantasy mostly and have begun to try
my hand at writing some short stories myself. I also enjoy socialising, swimming, going to the
cinema and eating out.
