2. Fall Out Boy – “The Take Over, The Breaks Over” I really like this video mainly due to the white background I feel it allows the artist to really portray their image in the way they want to. I would suggest that this video goes as a Narrative type of music video, as chosen form Paul Watson and Diane Railton four main types of video, due to the music video following , more or less, the song being sung compared with a staged performance which is usually used by R&B and pop singers , as it tends to advertise their clothing lines and they try to portray an image for them selves. There are many long shots on the band as fans prefer to see the band together than anyone of them being singled out. The are medium shots of each of the singer Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz the most recognised members of the bands.

3. Fall Out Boy – “The Take Over, The Breaks Over” There is a relationship between the lyrics and the visuals as told by Andrew Goodwin s music characteristics . This video is based on fallout boy and how there changing, it’s away of telling their fans a message . The video does represent women in a sexual portrayal, dressed in cat costumes, like Andrew Goodwin's idea this video show Voyeurism towards women. There is also choreographed postman which usually isn't expected in this type of music but it does make the video even better.

4. Foo Fighters – The PretenderThis video I really enjoyed due to its simplicity of a band playing together. In this video they seem to be playing in a hall which looks really great. This is a Narrative type of video as told in Ann Kaplan's book. This relates to Andrew Goodwin's idea which the words should relate to the song. This video shows the band in its most open form compared with other videos which I like and why the fans like it, it has 39 million hits and 65,000 likes, which means that it must be well liked video. The video is based on Dave Grohl , the singer, taunting riot police with the song which looks fantastic. There are many close ups on Dave Grohl as he is the most popular member of the band. There are lots of short quick shots of each member of the band playing the instruments usually during the chorus when they really play. When the red liquid bursts out the back it looks brilliant because that’s when the riot police charge forward and feels like a real battle between the two.

All Time Low – I Feel Like Dancing Paul Watson and Diane Railton stated there are four main types of video I think this is a staged video, but that its been staged to take the mick of the usual artists who do staged performance, like Cheryl Cole and Snoop Dog. They do this by going through the stages of how to make a video I found this ironic which is a reason why I chose it. The first stage is about “product placement” the second stage is “sex” and the third is “stealing other artists ideas” this is also ironic because these are the three biggest uses of a music video. This video would come under “the song and dance number” by Joe Gow’s six central genres of music video, because the video focuses on the physical events and the vocal presentation of the song, which is lip synced. All Time Low – I Feel Like DancingJack BarakatThis video is used to a comic effect, to make us laugh and smile, which would be another way in which they have managed to make fun of the other staged performances. I it is very rare for a band to do a staged performance as they are unlikely to have there own close line or have anything to advertise abut them selves as they are band not one person. The different shots are used to show the discomfort of the band individually through out the video from guts coming onto them to dressing like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. The shots are spread out upon where the action is but it mainly shows the singer , Alexander Gaskarth, in a close up as well as the main guitarist Jack Barakat.
