The first music video is Young Guns’ Bones.
This music video is purely a performance video.
The music video will be set in a rural area possibly a hill or mountain as it
would give an isolated feel to the video.
There are 5 people in the band, singer, 2 guitarists, bassist and a drummer,
the band would be performing the song as the camera focuses on different
parts of the band throughout the song.
There will be shots where the individual members will be performing on
their own to amplify their parts within the video.
The second music video is Bring Me The Horizon’s
True Friends. This song is about how true friends
should stab you in the front and not go behind your
back.
The idea that I came up with is mixing performance
with a story.
The performance side is just the band performing in a
dimly lit room where the camera focuses on different
parts of the band where the music chooses. The room
should have a corridor/door which is lit brightly, at the
end of the song the singer will walk through the
corridor/door.
The story part of the music video is set in a dark room where there are three chairs and three people tied to the
chairs. In front of the tree people are three TV’s, these TV’s are playing scenarios (which have happened) how they
stabbed the lead singer in the back. As the video flicks from band to story the TV’s will be playing the story’s and
connecting the three people to the singer. Right at the end of the song the singer will walk through the corridor/door
and walk into the room where the three people are held and as the camera pans in front of the three people it
reveals the singer standing behind them and it cuts to black.
