It then cuts between close-up shots of Joseph looking uneasy and distressed as he pulls out a pair of clippers. Joseph proceeds to vigorously shave off all of his hair while cutting between shots of his actions and a disorienting purple static overlay, depicting his character's inner turmoil through his isolated and impulsive actions.

The music video begins with a television screen showing purple then
immediately cutting to a low angle close up of lead singer, Tyler
Joseph looking to be contemplating about something. A cut zoom out
shows he is curled up in the corner of a public toilet room. The screen
goes purple again for a slight second before cutting to a medium
close up of Joseph, grabbing his collar. The purple static screen comes
back repeatedly, and cutting back to Tyler Joseph in a canted angle,
becoming restless and looking uneasy. A cutaway shows Joseph
pulling a wire, and then revealing it to be clippers. In a medium close
up shot, Joseph holds the clippers with both hands, and there are
multiple cuts going to close up shots from the side of his head to the
top of his head and back to the medium close up. While grabbing
hard hold of the clippers, he moves it to the top of his head and
begins to shave his hair off. From here there are more multiple cuts
of Joseph shaving his hair, along with the purple static effect
appearing several times. Joseph then stands up and turns to the
mirror and continues to shave his hair off, still with multiple close up
shots and still with the purple static effect.
