part where Marilyn Manson is in a hot tub with a girl touching her everywhere. It
gives off a vibe that all men want is sex. There is even a part where he goes to go
into a bedroom with a girl to have sex again it gives off a negative vibe to both
men and women.
2. How are the men/women dressed? How much skin is revealed? The men that are with
Marilyn Manson are all dressed really gothic and in black but the girls and the others are
dressed quite slutty and revealing.
3. Are there more, fewer, or the same number of men as women? It’s probably quite
equal.
4. Describe the body language of the men/women: are they sitting, standing, gyrating,
mugging, etc.?its very explicit the men and women are all over each other and drinking so
it gives off negative vibes especially about men as they are giving off an angry look at like
just intruding into a party uninvited and just push and boss everyone around. It’s as

power, as they are quite aggressively being sexual towards the opposite gender as well as

much ruder and aggressive.

Directions: As you closely watch the music video, answer the following questions with
as much detail as possible.
1. What races do you see represented? White American, Black Americans. The white men
are wanna-be black men.
2. Are there any dark skinned women shown? How many? The video is more a male
representation than women. However there are sightings in the video of black women
dancing with rude and typical manners. It’s very stereotypical of black people so it’s quite
over exaggerated the way they are. There living up to the stereo type.
3. What is the race of the person at the focus of the video? The main person in the video is
light skinned (white) but it is a stereo type of black men as the white man wants to be like
a black man so he thinks he’s cool because he’s attempting to pull it off. It’s as though the
video is saying that all black men are cool and gangsta represented and intimidating.
Everything they are made out to be, the Stereo types! And that is what the person at the
focus of the video is doing, trying to be the stereo types of black men.

4. What are the black/Latino/Asian/white/Native American/Pacific Islander people
doing? The white man is trying to act like he is of different ethnicity. For example he’s
playing loud music wearing big gold chains and being a typical black man stereotype.
Trying to join in with the black people and fit in when he just looks like an idiot.
5. What’s the message of the song? The message is sort of taking the mick out of black
people and the stereotypes they hold. For example you would call a black person “fly” if
you thought it but the title is “pretty fly for a white guy” in other words saying that he’s
using all of the typical stereo types, some may be bad to pretend to be something hes not.
Or maybe just to show that not all the black stereotypes can be pinned on black people
white people can pull them off as well. Even though you might not necessarily want to
because its hardly a good thing.

1. Describe the products that are highlighted in the video: (cars, jewelry, clothes, etc.)
In this video Cars are highlighted boldly as that is the whole point of the song.
Obviously the title is a giveaway of that. Also Limp Bizkit themselves feature in the
video wearing expensive designer clothes and thick gold chains and other jewellery.
2. Are any brand names shown? Brands are shown in this video as the main person in the
video is wearing a branded t-shirt and a New Era baseball cap. Also the car logo is
featured slightly.
3. How is wealth defined in the video? Well considering there is big filmstars that feature
at the beginning of the video it is a very wealthy type of video. Also not just the goods
they have in the video makes it out to be like this. It is also the fact how the video’s
location is in fact New York. There is even parts of the video where they are on the top of
the World Trade Centre (The Twin Towers). There are no parts of the video which look
cheap and nasty every shot of the video either has big expensive jewellery, big fancy cars,
logoed clothing or even a really fancy expensive location to film.

It mentions a few cars and the main lyric “rollin” refers to them going round the town in
an expensive car.

they’re looking after so they’re going to roll round the town In it to show it off and make

Directions: As you closely watch the music video, answer the following questions with
as much detail as possible.
1. Describe any violent lyrics in the song: There aren’t any specifically violent lyrics.
However there is depressing lyrics which describe how the people being injuered in the
video are feeling. For example this is a verse- “Every day is so wonderful
Then suddenly it's hard to breathe.

This lyric is showing how people may feel when being bullied and feeling pain from the
stuff that happens to them.
