1. Music for the documentary: Karen Pang
Exploring and researching into other documentary music would expand my
knowledge of what would be most suitable in our own documentary.
I found a website that has a whole list of documentary music:

The first one I listened to is ‘Beyond the Blue’ I was pulled into it’s wrapped
up emotional instrumental song, it was created by pianos with a steady beat,
with strings of a violin and a flute creating a sad atmosphere over all.
This is the kind of introduction I would like in our opening for the documentary,
in my own one I started with piano then added Acoustic Guitar with a steady
beat that keeps repeating the tune. Then at the background a jingles guitar tune
that kind of sound up beat that gets your attention, at the end a split a end drag
tune, which means a start of something either an important voice over
statement, depending on where it fits.
The second song I listen to ‘Evergreen’ starts off with a strong guitar strings,
then a firm piano beat that drags out the tone making a deep touching sound.
The ‘Lost Garden’ is a very emotional track, created by slow piano tones and
with a mixture of quick rhythmtunes sounding like suitable background music to
a serious talk. Which is why I created a beat with a mixture of Jingles and Beats
with the Acoustic Guitar, making a steady beat that could go in the background of
a long talk. It isn’t too distracting if turn at a low volume so you could hear the
voice over loader then the music it would be ok. However if changes need, it
would be making less upbeat.
2. The ‘Expanding Reality’ starts with a fine strong strings and flute with an
on going beat in the background, of a contrast of fast and slow pace creating a
challenging sound, like something should be seriously considered.
The ‘Eternal’ does indeed sound beautifully peaceful, however, it doesn’t
match the feeling I want to portray in our documentary.
After my partners Jamie and Charlotte heard the two tunes I had made, they then
asked if I could make just a beat, so the third tune is just a beat created by an
Acoustic Guitar.
I had made a few more, so we would have a mini collection of instrumental music
to choose from that is made on Garage Band software, including screen shots.
