port service personnel as appropriate. All of our consulta-
tions and assessments are completely confidential and will
only be released with your written permission or when
required by law.

2. The COEHS Counseling and Assessment Center,
Housed in Alexander Hall on the Murray State Uni-
versity campus, serves children, adults, and college
students from the local community and Murray State
University by providing low cost psychoeducational
consultation, evaluation, and counseling services.
The Clinic is especially designed to evaluate college
students and other adults suspected of having learn-
ing disorders and ADHD, and students in public and
parochial schools struggling to earn passing grades.
Our comprehensive evaluations are individually
structured to assess the individual’s strengths and
functional limitations and to generate recommenda-
tions and interventions to address those limitations.
Our consultations consist of an intake and clinical
interview; specialized individually administered tests
of vocabulary, reasoning, memory, and problem-
solving; individually administered tests of academic
skill; personality and behavioral assessments; and
other tests and procedures needed to answer the
referral question (e.g., ADHD, autism). You should
allow a minimum of four hours for the interview, as-
sessments, and other procedures. After the tests
and procedures are completed, we will generate a
report and invite you back for a review of the find-
ings.
The Clinic is supported by the College of Education
and Human Services and is designed to offer low
cost assessment and evaluation services to the com-
munity. Our fees are provided below:
College Students $50
Adult Education Students $25
Non-Student Adults, Fee based on a
Children, & Adolescents sliding scale
(Minimum $50 to
Maximum $150).
*We anticipate offering counseling services starting
Fall 2014
 Payment is expected the day of service. We
take cash or checks. We cannot accept credit
cards or insurance.

We initially plan to evaluate no more than four clients
weekly. Testing will be conducted Tuesdays and
Wednesdays; Mondays and Thursdays will be re-
served for staffing and report writing.
The director of the Clinic, Dr. Marty Dunham, is a
professor, Kentucky licensed psychologist, and Ken-
tucky certified school psychologist. Our staff also
includes Dr. Barbara Washington, a professor of spe-
cial education, school psychology graduate students,
and special education graduate students. All evalua-
tions are conducted by appropriately trained and ex-
perienced graduate students under the direct super-
vision of Dr. Dunham and Dr. Washington.
