Guide to Multiplying a Binomial and a Trinomial (9n 9 +7n 5 +5)+(3n 3 +2)
Step 1: (First you have to draw your box and label the top and the side of the box with the numbers from the problem) 9n 9 +7n 5 +5 3n 3 +2
Step 2: (Then you multiply the numbers from the top of the boxes by the ones from the side of the box and add the exponents according to how they are lined up. 9n 9 +7n 5 +5 3n 3 +2 10 14n 5   18n 9 10n 3 21n 8 27n 12
Step 3: (Next you look at the numbers inside of the box and put them in order from the greatest exponent to the least exponent. 9n 9 +7n 5 +5 3n 3 +2 27n 12 +18n 9 +21n 8 +14n 5 +10n 3 +10 10 14n 5   18n 9 10n 3 21n 8 27n 12
