Recent Project Highlights
Primarily responsible for leading, communicating and training 18 employees
identified across the state as solar consultants to support the growing solar
program of Georgia Power. Ensure they were equipped with the most up to date
tools and information to assist our customers with anything solar related. Held
monthly webinars to update the solar consultants on anything new and changing
as well as facilitate open discussion on solar issues with the group. These
employees were given formal training on basics of solar PV including types of
technologies and inverters, safety, basic installation guidelines and some hands
on experience determining shading and how this affects the PV panel efficiency.
They were also given formal training on all company aspects of solar including
policy, procedures, interconnection, legislation, safety and an overview of the
company’soverall renewable messaging.
Served as the Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert for the Green Energy
Department for all Distributed Generation technical information including
interconnection, contracting, billing and metering. Trained two permanent
fulltime employees in the Green Energy Department and had primarily
responsible for the onboarding process for four employees on developmental
rotations workingonthe expansionof GeorgiaPower’ssolarprogram.
Managed 10 million dollar project to build a customer owned substation for a
high profile customer, Google®, the largest both in revenue and scope ever sold.
This project spanned over 10 months, involved numerous business units and over
60 personnel within Georgia Power Company. This project alsoincluded hiring an
independent contractor consisting of over 60 personnel. Responsible for meeting
all deadlines for the customer, keeping the cost within the budgeted scope,
ensuring everyone involved was well informed on the scope. Provided the client
with detailed communication on the project through daily written reports and
weekly videoconferences.
