Performance is largely determined by a combination of inborn
traits and effective learning gained from environmental
reinforcement. While natural abilities are generally encouraged
and capitalized on, rarely do individuals think of honing their
personality or learning styles in order to learn or act more
effectively. However, such an undertaking could immensely
benefit the individual in choosing the right subjects while
opting for higher studies or for career guidance.
5 psychometric assessments are included in this
report which aims to provide an objective evaluation
of attributes and behavioural tendency in a concise
manner.
When analyzed in relation to one another, these
assessments could throw light on a number of
personality aspects and thus help one learn more
easily and recognise the vocation where ones
strengths can be optimally utilised.
This report aims at providing an insight into the capability
and strengths for increased understanding of potential. As
a guidance tool, it aspires to help one grow as an
individual by showing dimensions that holds scope for
improvement.

THE ASSESSMENT W RLD
Mr. Manjunatha S A
INTRODUCTION:
The Psychometric tools used in this module are a Powerful combination of hereditary and
environmental measures, gauging the individual’s personality and learning styles on a holistic
level. A result of commendable research, these assessments provide individuals with an objective
framework that will enable them to choose the right path to continue growing and learning based on
their potentials and strengths. The following Battery of 5 psychometric assessments gives a
comprehensive insight into the person’s strength and potential.
1. Personality Style Assessment
a. FITS
2. Learning Styles Questionnaires:
a. VAK
b. CARS
c. PRSE
d. MI
1. Personality Style:
a. F. I. T.S
Successful interpersonal relations, is a result of our personalities and how others perceive us. Carl
Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst classified 4 major personality
types in his research on "Psychological Types". Personalities are formed by inherited genes and
each of these distinctive personality types has unique strengths and drawbacks on a continuum from
effective to ineffective. Your personality style is representative of the dominating trait present in you.
F.I.T.S helps discover your inherent personality style and assists you in understanding those of
others.
2. Learning Style Questionnaires:
a. Visual Auditory Kinesthetic
The Visual-Auditory-Kinesthetic learning styles model, usually abbreviated to VAK, provides a
simple way to explain and understand your own learning style (and learning styles of others) to
assess your preferred learning styles, and most importantly, to incorporate learning methods and
experiences that match your strengths and preferences. There is no right or wrong learning
style. The fact is that there are different types of learning styles that suit different people.
b. Concrete, Abstract, Random and Sequential
CARS assessment tool provides amazing insight into how individual’s gather and assimilate
information. It is of immense value to individuals, as awareness into these can be utilized towards
building on their natural learning preferences.
c. Participating, Reflecting, Structuring and Experimenting
PRSE assesses the approach (Participating, Reflecting, Structuring and Experimenting) an
individual takes to organize and internalize information. The individual’s scores provide an
objective analysis to understand the means by which he/she organizes new learning.
d. Multiple Intelligence
The theory of “multiple intelligence” developed by Howard Gardner provides nine different
potential pathways to learning. It gives a whole new way of looking at lives, suggesting several
ways in which effective learning can be facilitated in view of individual strengths and potential.

THE ASSESSMENT W RLD
Mr. Manjunatha S A
The FITS Assessment mirrors the various personality styles based on heredity
characteristics of the individual, which are classified as Feeler, Intuitor, Thinker and
Sensor. Your highest scores are discussed first, with a summation of the others below.
Personality
Trait
Feeler Intuitor Thinker Sensor
Scores 26 23.5 24 26.5
Having close scores on Feeler, Thinker, Sensor, Intuitor, you are likely to be operating
on all these 4 dimensions, as per situational demands. Being rather balanced on these
may allow you to adapt to different environmental situations at ease. However, you may
face confusion being pulled by different direction.
You are an action oriented; learn by doing kind of a person. You inherently enjoy
action, pushing hard for things to happen. You desire to invest your efforts in tasks
that yield results you can see. You labor under constant pressures and deadlines and
may do everything in bursts of very intense energy. You can be very dynamic and
competitive with urge to push and get things done quickly. You come across as a go-
getter who must grab the rock and hold it to know its reality. Thus coming across as a
quite goal driven and result oriented individual.
Along with action, you also come across as warm, friendly, understanding and
persuasive individual. You tend to live in the past and enjoy being with people. You
get energized by people contact and interaction. Thus you are seen as a people’s
person. You have very strong personal associations which may lead to high
attachments in tern creating challenges as you may be unable to let go. You also try to
connect with the feelings and emotions of others. Because of your charisma you may
also make a good leader and someone that people want to look up to.
Although you give higher priority to action, inherently you also place emphasis to
ideas and analysis. You have the potential to be systematic and organized
individual. You may enjoy doing thorough research in terms of gathering data/information
required for the task in hand at times.

Learning Style Stages: CARS
CARS assess the stages in which an individual prefers to assimilate information based on
four classifications (Concrete Sequential, Abstract Sequential, Concrete Random and
Abstract Random). The individual’s scores provide an objective tool to understand the
means by which he acquires new learning.
Learning
style
Concrete
Sequential
Abstract
Sequential
Concrete
Random
Abstract

Scores 26 25.3 21.3 27.3
You may focus more on themes and ideas. Your strengths lie in grasping concepts and
judgement of situations based on the holistic picture. You would participate
enthusiastically in projects that you strongly believe in. You are adept at establishing
positive relationships with everybody coming across as an extrovert.
You prefer to think in an ordered sequential manner as depicted by your high scores on
the concrete sequential style. You tend to break down projects into steps and are able to
assimilate details and facts effortlessly when necessary. Thus you may be quite
effective in handling complex assignments with several stages. In spite of being
conceptual and idea driven inherently, you also come across to be sequential and
orderly.
You are most of the time engrossed in the world of theory and abstract thoughts and
want to know the cause behind the effects. This attribute might have stemmed out of
the Intuitor dimension. However you have the ability to be systematic in the manner in
which you process the information. You have the ability to zoom in on what’s
important, such as key points and significant details.
Being moderately inclined on concrete random style of learning, you tend to be idealistic
at times, and might take a trial and error approach whenever required. You use tried
and tested methods to a moderate extent as you are keen on finding alternatives and
doing things in your own novel way to solve problems.

give your fullest and seek to personally experience in a learning event. As a feeler you
prefer to rely on your hunches and feelings to take actions. You tend to perform well in
unstructured situations. You enjoy active participation in any learning event. You come
across as an extroverted individual, someone who is outgoing, assertive and speaks
his mind. You are able to relate and explain your learning to others in the context of real
dimension, rather than hypothetical situations.

you draw on meanings and implications from your previous experiences.
You have the ability to deal effectively with the lack of a structure or with ambiguity.
Not being a very structured learner, you would adapt a random style in your approach

Learning Style Stages: VAK
VAK assesses the various modes by which individuals prefer to acquire information
based on their heredity characteristics. These are classified into the Visual, Auditory
and Kinaesthetic learning styles.
As a predominant kinaesthetic learning person, you prefer a very tactile experience
of things while learning. People with a kinaesthetic learning style are also commonly
known as do-ers. You would love physical activities or making things and may find it
hard to sit still for long periods and may become distracted by your need for activity
and exploration. You may move around a lot, fiddle with pens and pencils, especially
when the learning event does not include kinaesthetic cues.
Along with kinaesthetic, you also come across as a visual learner, you will be at ease,
when you retain information through reading or seeing. You may always think in
terms of pictures or visual clips and learn best from visual displays including:
diagrams, illustrated text books, overhead transparencies, videos, flipcharts and hand-
outs. You come across as a strong fast reader with good ability to focus on the
words and pictures in front of you.
Not being very inclined to learn through the auditory medium, you might find it
difficult to retain information well, if it is relayed to you only through auditory mediums,
such as talks or lectures.

Multiple Intelligence
The theory of “multiple intelligence” developed by Howard Gardner provides nine different
potential pathways to learning. It gives adults a whole new way of looking at their lives,
suggesting several ways in which effective learning can be facilitated in view of individual
strengths and potentiality.
Multiple Intelligence Score
Linguistic 18
Logical 19
Rhythmic 15
Visual 19
Kinaesthetic 12
Inter-personal 19
Intra-personal 16
Naturalistic 13
Meta-physical 19
Being inclined towards logical intelligence you use traditional mathematical abilities
such as reasoning, logic, investigation, and scientific thinking. You have the ability to think
conceptually and are able to see and explore patterns and relationships. You have
nurtured this ability complementing to your thinker personality.
You have the ability to represent the spatial world internally in your mind, the way a
chess player or sculptor represents a more circumscribed spatial world. You are likely to
be aware of object, shapes, colors, textures and patterns in the environment around you.
Thus you may like to draw, paint, and make interesting designs and patterns, and
work with clay, colored markers, construction paper, fabric etc.
Being a people-smart person, you enjoy working, learning, helping and being around
other people. The relationships you create are positive relationships. You tend to
enjoy being in the company of others. You enjoy deep conversations and can work
cooperatively and are a good team player.
Also being inclined in spiritual and metaphysical intelligence, you strongly believe in
the existence beyond form. You invariably recognize and appreciate that which is
considered “spiritual” in matter. You are motivated /encouraged to make greater
advances in this area.
You come across as a person who has the skill to use words and language in an
effective manner. With well developed auditory skills, you tend to be an elegant
speaker. Thus enjoy activities that include listening, speaking, writing, storytelling,
and explaining, teaching, using humour, remembering information, convincing
someone and analyzing language usage.
You often tend to do things alone and make an effort to understand oneself in terms
of strengths and weaknesses. You have the potential to set personal goals and
deadlines and may also have the ability to pursue personal interests.
Being fairly musically oriented you emphasize on sound, tones, music, and rhythm.
You may memorize tones and songs to help learn various ideas. Activities that may give
you pleasure are singing, listening to music or playing instruments.
You moderately relate to activities that are nature-based thus you like to take the
occasional walk around the park observing various flowers and plants but may not
be bothered about knowing the names. Being fairly good in kinaesthetic intelligence you
are naturally comfortable being physically active, as this is also your predisposed
learning style. You learn best by doing something i.e. when the tactile/fine movements
are engaged, hence you remember best when you repetitively carry out the activity.

THE ASSESSMENT W RLD
Mr. Manjunatha S A
Overview
Being a high Feeler, you come across as friendly individual, who can express everything
in his mind. You tend to easily feel guilty about issues and over personalize them. This
may result in a lot of conflicts within, in turn disturbing your peace of mind.
However high scores on inter-personal and intra-personal intelligence indicate that
you are comfortable in group situations, finding it easy to interact and bond with
people as well as understand your goals & aspirations. Thus you will perform well in
areas that call for people interaction, public relations, idea generation and
conceptualizing.
Standing high on abstract random style of learning, your thinking processes are based
on feelings, making you good at establishing a rapport with people. As a feeler you work
from the heart and not from the head. All the same due to environmental influence you do
not follow a logical and rational thinking process, in your learning style. You are
random in your approach to learning gathering and assimilating information which is
why even though you understand the concepts you are not able to give the required
output.
Standing high on concrete sequential style of learning, you have the need to
understand theory and facts and like to read and research well for projects. As an
intuitor you are conceptual and abstract in your approach. All the same due to
environmental influence you do follow a logical and rational thinking process, being
sequential in your learning style. Thus in spite of being creative and idea driven, you
are sequential in your approach to learning gathering and assimilating information in a
methodical fashion. Thus you may excel on projects and assignments that require out of
the box thinking along with the need to collect and organise data.
