INTRODUCTION
Mphasis is an IT services company based in Bangalore, India. The company provides infrastructure
technology and applications outsourcing services, as well as architecture guidance, application development
and integration, and application management services.
It serves financial services, telecom, logistics, and technology industries. Mphasis was ranked #7 in
India IT companies and overall #165 by Fortune India 500 in 2011.In April 2018, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
sold the majority of its stake in Mphasis to Blackstone Group LP for around $USD 1 billion.

10th August of the year 1992. It was formed after the merger of the US-based IT consulting company Mphasis Corporation and the
Indian IT services company BFL Software Limited. The Company had installed an additional workstations and infrastructure with
the view to expanding the business in the year 1993.
On 25 May 2017 Mphasis and DXC Technology, the world's leading independent end-to-end IT services company
announced a new Solution Partner relationship to transform and modernize enterprise applications for public private and hybrid

UPGRADES
 Mphasis’ 4QFY13 numbers are in line with estimates – Revenue at $259.7m (v/s estimate of
$260.7m), EBITDA margin of 17.5% (in line) and PAT at Rs1.9b (v/s estimate of Rs1.88b)
 Revenues from HP channel declined 5.5% q-o-q (and 2.6% in constant currency) and Direct
channel increased by 0.2% q-o-q (and 0.6% in constant currency). Emerging market business
declined 12.5% q-o-q due to continued exit from loss making government contracts in India.
 Mphasis has indicated yet another year of volumes decline in the HP channel, while Direct
Channel is expected to perform well and grow above the industry, after including Digital Risk
 Sustained payout ratio at 50% (before tax) too, is encouraging. Its dividend yield is now 4%+,
and Cash at Rs24b is 30% of its market cap.
