Resume :
In the Pride Lands of Africa, a lion rules over the animals as king. The birth of son
Simba to King Mufasa and QueenSarabi creates envy and resentment in Mufasa's younger
brother, Scar, who knows his nephew now replaces him as heir to the throne. After Simba has
grown into a young cub, Mufasa gives him a tour of the Pride Lands, teaching him
the responsibilities of being a king and the circle of life.
Later that day, Scar tricks Simba and his best friend Nala into exploring a forbidden
elephant graveyard, despite the protests of Mufasa's hornbill majordomo Zazu. At the
graveyard, the spotted hyenas Shenzi, Banzai and Ed attack the cubs before Mufasa, alerted
by Zazu, rescues them and forgives Simba for his actions. That night, the hyenas, who are
allied with Scar, plot with him to kill Mufasa and Simba.
The next day Scar lures Simba to a gorge and tells him to wait there while he gets
Mufasa. On Scar's orders, the hyenas stampede a large herd of wildebeest into the gorge.
Mufasa rescues Simba, but as Mufasa tries to climb up the gorge's walls, Scar throws him
back into the stampede, where he is trampled to death. After Simba finds Mufasa's body, Scar
convinces him he was responsible for his father's death and advises Simba to flee the
kingdom. As Simba leaves, Scar orders the hyenas to kill the cub, but Simba escapes. Scar
announces to the other lions that both Mufasa and Simba were killed in the stampede and
steps forward as the new king, allowing a pack of hyenas to live in the Pride Lands.
After running far away, Simba collapses from exhaustion in a desert. Timon and
Pumbaa , a meerkat and a warthog, find him and nurse him back to health. Simba
subsequently grows up with them in the jungle, living a carefree life with his friends under
the motto " hakuna matata" ("no worries").
When he is a young adult, Simba rescues Timon and Pumbaa from a hungry lioness,
who turns out to be Nala. She and Simba reconcile and fall in love. Nala urges Simba to
return home, telling him the Pride Lands have become a wasteland with not enough food and
water. Feeling guilty over his father's death, Simba refuses and storms off, leaving Nala
disappointed and angry. As Simba enters the jungle, he encounters Mufasa's mandrill friend
and advisor, Rafiki. Rafiki tells Simba that Mufasa is "alive" and takes him to a pond. There
Simba is visited by the ghost of Mufasa in the sky, who tells him he must take his rightful
place as the king of the Pride Lands. Simba realizes he can no longer run from his past and
goes home. Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa join him, and agree to help him fight.
At the Pride Lands, Simba confronts Scar, who taunts Simba over his "part" in
Mufasa's death. But when Scar pushes Simba to the edge of Pride Rock, he admits he himself
killed Mufasa. Enraged, Simba roars back up and forces Scar to reveal the truth to the other
lions. Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu, and the lionesses fend off the hyenas while Scar,
attempting to escape, is cornered by Simba at the top of Pride Rock. Scar begs Simba for
mercy, saying he is family and placing the blame on the hyenas. Simba says he does not
believe Scar anymore but spares his life and commands him to forever leave the Pride Lands.
Scar meekly walks past him, but then attacks his nephew. After a fierce battle, Simba throws
his uncle off Pride Rock. Scar survives the fall, but is attacked and killed by the hyenas, who
overheard his attempt to betray them.
With Scar and the hyenas gone, Simba ascends to the top of Pride Rock and takes
over the kingdom as the rain falls again. Sometime later, with Pride Rock restored to its
former glory, Simba looks down happily at his kingdom withNala, Timon, and Pumbaa by
his side; Rafiki presents Simba and Nala's newborn cub to the inhabitants of the Pride Lands,
and the "circle of life" continues.
Negative and Positive Side :
a. Negative : In this movie there are negative sides, first there is a conflict
with his family, and some of scenes show the violence, such as between Simba and
Scar.
b. Positive : The movie is intertaining us, because the animation of the movie
is looking good and adding the good soundtrack by Elton John. The story give me a
lesson to be brave to defend the truth. The visual effect provide quite entertaining.
What life lesson we can get from it :
There are some lessons that we can get from this moveie :
There Is More To Being King Than Getting Your Way
Simba tells Mufasa that he thought a king could do whatever he wants. Mufasa has to explain
to his son that there is more to being in charge than just getting your way. This is a tough
lesson for successful people to learn. Unfortunately many of us feel the same away anytime
we succeed in our life. I think it boils down to what motivates us to succeed. Do we want to
become the king or queen of our field just so that we can do whatever we want? I hope not.
A Parent’s Influence Lasts Forever
Mufasa only had a short time on the Pride Land with his son. But that doesn’t mean his
influence didn’t have a lasting impact. In addition to sacrificing his life for Simba, Mufasa
shows the power of great parenting when he teaches his son lessons from beyond the grave.
In real life, we won’t see storm clouds who look like our parents (and sound like James Earl
Jones), but we can still feel their impact long after they are gone.
Remember Who You Are
Mufasa’s big lesson to Simba from the clouds is to remember who you are. Simba needed to
be reminded that he was the king and he had a land to protect. When times get tough (or
busy) it can be difficult to remember who we are. We can get caught trying to become
someone we are not. Or even worse we can get caught trying to ignore who we are. Once
Simba remembered who he really was, it was easy for him to see what he had to do next.
“You Gotta Put Your Behind In the Past” – Pumbaa
Okay, so I still have a soft spot for fart and butt jokes. But what Pumbaa is trying to say is a
pretty good message. What he actually meant was that you have to put your past behind you.
Much like the Coach K quote from the Jay Bilas book, “Next play”, you can’t dwell on the
past. Whether the past was good or bad, we can’t get caught with our behind in the past!
Being Brave Doesn’t MeanYou Go Looking For Trouble
Here’s another lesson Mufasa teaches Simba. Simba and Nala are nearly killed after they get
caught by the hyenas in elephant graveyard. Simba tries to say that he laughs in the face of
danger, but Mufasa explains that you can be brave, but don’t be stupid. Don’t go looking for
trouble just because you think you can handle it.
Be Prepared
This is from the song Scar sings to the hyenas when explains that he is going to kill Mufasa
and become king. Despite Scar’s wrong motives, his message can still be motivational. He
says, “Be prepared for a chance of a lifetime. Be prepared for sensational news.” Are we
prepared for a chance of a lifetime or sensational news? What can we do now to make sure
we are prepared for those situations?
Change Is Good But It Is Not Easy
This is a lesson Rafiki teaches Simba when the mandrill is helping the lion remember who he
is. Simba has become accustom to a carefree life of eating bugs and sleeping all day. Rafiki
shows him he needs to change. Much like any of us would be in that circumstance, Simba is
resistant to change because it is difficult. Just because it is difficult doesn’t mean it is wrong.
Spoiler alert, Simba’s life becomes 10 times better in the long run because of the changes he
made after talking to Rafiki. We can make this happen through subtle change in our own life.
You Can’t Hakuna Matata Forever
As Timon & Pumbaa explain, Hakuna Matata means no worries. It means you don’t have a
care in the world. How great would it be to live Hakuna Matata. Unfortunately we can’t do
that. It is one thing not to worry, but that doesn’t mean you can ignore real life. Simba learns
that he has rules and responsibilities. We too have responsibilities that we can’t ignore. But
Hakuna Matata is still a great song!
You can run from your past or you can learn from it.
Rafiki tells Simba, “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn
from it.” Now you may be saying, “I thought in you told us that have to put our past behind
us?” Yes, that is correct, I did. But you past needs to be behind you because you learned from
it and grew because of it. Not because you ran away from it. Simba was running away from a
past he was ashamed of. It took him awhile to learn that he couldn’t run forever. He needed to
confront his past and learn something from it. Where in our lives are we running from our
past? What is one small step you can take to stop running and start learning?
Appeal and interesting part of this movie
When his father save simba from a cluster of pig. We can see the sacrifice of father to his
son, it makes the audience sad and affected.
Make the audience curious when simba comes to his uncle to snatch away his father position
and they fight until the uncle died.
Why is the movie worth watching
Because the movie educate everyone who watch this film and this film was served by way.
This movie also give us many lesson from the character of simba and his father, beside that
the plot support the movie better.
The reason we have chosen this movie
Because the movie is about fable, have a good setting and story. Then the story is not only
about fable, but this movie also give appearance with the drama musical.

The birth of son Simba to King Mufasa and QueenSarabi creates envy and resentment in Mufasa's younger brother, Scar, who knows his nephew now replaces him as heir to the throne. After Simba has grown into a young cub, Mufasa gives him a tour of the Pride Lands, teaching him

Later that day, Scar tricks Simba and his best friend Nala into exploring a forbidden elephant graveyard, despite the protests of Mufasa's hornbill majordomo Zazu. At the graveyard, the spotted hyenas Shenzi, Banzai and Ed attack the cubs before Mufasa, alerted by Zazu, rescues them and forgives Simba for his actions. That night, the hyenas, who are allied with Scar, plot with him to kill Mufasa and Simba. The next day Scar lures Simba to a gorge and tells him to wait there while he gets Mufasa. On Scar's orders, the hyenas stampede a large herd of wildebeest into the gorge. Mufasa rescues Simba, but as Mufasa tries to climb up the gorge's walls, Scar throws him back into the stampede, where he is trampled to death. After Simba finds Mufasa's body, Scar convinces him he was responsible for his father's death and advises Simba to flee the kingdom. As Simba leaves, Scar orders the hyenas to kill the cub, but Simba escapes. Scar announces to the other lions that both Mufasa and Simba were killed in the stampede and steps forward as the new king, allowing a pack of hyenas to live in the Pride Lands. After running far away, Simba collapses from exhaustion in a desert. Timon and Pumbaa , a meerkat and a warthog, find him and nurse him back to health. Simba subsequently grows up with them in the jungle, living a carefree life with his friends under the motto " hakuna matata" ("no worries"). When he is a young adult, Simba rescues Timon and Pumbaa from a hungry lioness, who turns out to be Nala. She and Simba reconcile and fall in love. Nala urges Simba to return home, telling him the Pride Lands have become a wasteland with not enough food and water. Feeling guilty over his father's death, Simba refuses and storms off, leaving Nala disappointed and angry. As Simba enters the jungle, he encounters Mufasa's mandrill friend and advisor, Rafiki. Rafiki tells Simba that Mufasa is "alive" and takes him to a pond. There Simba is visited by the ghost of Mufasa in the sky, who tells him he must take his rightful place as the king of the Pride Lands. Simba realizes he can no longer run from his past and goes home. Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa join him, and agree to help him fight. At the Pride Lands, Simba confronts Scar, who taunts Simba over his "part" in Mufasa's death. But when Scar pushes Simba to the edge of Pride Rock, he admits he himself killed Mufasa. Enraged, Simba roars back up and forces Scar to reveal the truth to the other lions. Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu, and the lionesses fend off the hyenas while Scar, attempting to escape, is cornered by Simba at the top of Pride Rock. Scar begs Simba for mercy, saying he is family and placing the blame on the hyenas. Simba says he does not believe Scar anymore but spares his life and commands him to forever leave the Pride Lands. Scar meekly walks past him, but then attacks his nephew. After a fierce battle, Simba throws his uncle off Pride Rock. Scar survives the fall, but is attacked and killed by the hyenas, who overheard his attempt to betray them. With Scar and the hyenas gone, Simba ascends to the top of Pride Rock and takes over the kingdom as the rain falls again. Sometime later, with Pride Rock restored to its former glory, Simba looks down happily at his kingdom withNala, Timon, and Pumbaa by
  • 6. his side; Rafiki presents Simba and Nala's newborn cub to the inhabitants of the Pride Lands, and the "circle of life" continues. Negative and Positive Side : a. Negative : In this movie there are negative sides, first there is a conflict with his family, and some of scenes show the violence, such as between Simba and Scar. b. Positive : The movie is intertaining us, because the animation of the movie is looking good and adding the good soundtrack by Elton John. The story give me a lesson to be brave to defend the truth. The visual effect provide quite entertaining. What life lesson we can get from it : There are some lessons that we can get from this moveie : There Is More To Being King Than Getting Your Way Simba tells Mufasa that he thought a king could do whatever he wants. Mufasa has to explain to his son that there is more to being in charge than just getting your way. This is a tough lesson for successful people to learn. Unfortunately many of us feel the same away anytime we succeed in our life. I think it boils down to what motivates us to succeed. Do we want to become the king or queen of our field just so that we can do whatever we want? I hope not. A Parent’s Influence Lasts Forever Mufasa only had a short time on the Pride Land with his son. But that doesn’t mean his influence didn’t have a lasting impact. In addition to sacrificing his life for Simba, Mufasa shows the power of great parenting when he teaches his son lessons from beyond the grave. In real life, we won’t see storm clouds who look like our parents (and sound like James Earl Jones), but we can still feel their impact long after they are gone. Remember Who You Are Mufasa’s big lesson to Simba from the clouds is to remember who you are. Simba needed to be reminded that he was the king and he had a land to protect. When times get tough (or busy) it can be difficult to remember who we are. We can get caught trying to become someone we are not. Or even worse we can get caught trying to ignore who we are. Once Simba remembered who he really was, it was easy for him to see what he had to do next. “You Gotta Put Your Behind In the Past” – Pumbaa Okay, so I still have a soft spot for fart and butt jokes. But what Pumbaa is trying to say is a pretty good message. What he actually meant was that you have to put your past behind you. Much like the Coach K quote from the Jay Bilas book, “Next play”, you can’t dwell on the past. Whether the past was good or bad, we can’t get caught with our behind in the past! Being Brave Doesn’t MeanYou Go Looking For Trouble
  • 7. Here’s another lesson Mufasa teaches Simba. Simba and Nala are nearly killed after they get caught by the hyenas in elephant graveyard. Simba tries to say that he laughs in the face of danger, but Mufasa explains that you can be brave, but don’t be stupid. Don’t go looking for trouble just because you think you can handle it. Be Prepared This is from the song Scar sings to the hyenas when explains that he is going to kill Mufasa and become king. Despite Scar’s wrong motives, his message can still be motivational. He says, “Be prepared for a chance of a lifetime. Be prepared for sensational news.” Are we prepared for a chance of a lifetime or sensational news? What can we do now to make sure we are prepared for those situations? Change Is Good But It Is Not Easy This is a lesson Rafiki teaches Simba when the mandrill is helping the lion remember who he is. Simba has become accustom to a carefree life of eating bugs and sleeping all day. Rafiki shows him he needs to change. Much like any of us would be in that circumstance, Simba is resistant to change because it is difficult. Just because it is difficult doesn’t mean it is wrong. Spoiler alert, Simba’s life becomes 10 times better in the long run because of the changes he made after talking to Rafiki. We can make this happen through subtle change in our own life. You Can’t Hakuna Matata Forever As Timon & Pumbaa explain, Hakuna Matata means no worries. It means you don’t have a care in the world. How great would it be to live Hakuna Matata. Unfortunately we can’t do that. It is one thing not to worry, but that doesn’t mean you can ignore real life. Simba learns that he has rules and responsibilities. We too have responsibilities that we can’t ignore. But Hakuna Matata is still a great song! You can run from your past or you can learn from it. Rafiki tells Simba, “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” Now you may be saying, “I thought in you told us that have to put our past behind us?” Yes, that is correct, I did. But you past needs to be behind you because you learned from it and grew because of it. Not because you ran away from it. Simba was running away from a past he was ashamed of. It took him awhile to learn that he couldn’t run forever. He needed to confront his past and learn something from it. Where in our lives are we running from our past? What is one small step you can take to stop running and start learning? Appeal and interesting part of this movie When his father save simba from a cluster of pig. We can see the sacrifice of father to his son, it makes the audience sad and affected. Make the audience curious when simba comes to his uncle to snatch away his father position and they fight until the uncle died.
  • 8. Why is the movie worth watching Because the movie educate everyone who watch this film and this film was served by way. This movie also give us many lesson from the character of simba and his father, beside that the plot support the movie better. The reason we have chosen this movie Because the movie is about fable, have a good setting and story. Then the story is not only about fable, but this movie also give appearance with the drama musical.
