5. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Discuss about the role of a teacher in personality development
of students
• Identify a variety of roles a teacher plays in the life of students
in addition to transferring the theoretical knowledge
• Brainstorm how the teachers can be the real movers and
shakers of society
• Participate in activities, share ideas and plan to perform their
real role more efficiently

A teacher:
• Is a role-models who can bring a positive change in students’ life
• Is estimated to have two to three times more IMPACT than any other
school factor, including services, facilities, and even leadership
• Can bring about an extraordinary transformation in the society
• Can makes a maximum IMPACT on the personality of a student in
the foundation years
• Has a great responsibility, of nurturing future generation /leaders, on
his/her shoulders as the guide, counsellor, social reformer, character
builder, nation builder, etc
