• It is a technique to remove or reduce redundancy from a

You can’t insert department name at least one student enrolled in that department Because here S Id is
our primary key(Unique + Not Null ).Here if I will insert in S ID 6 and in S name Any name after that
you can give department name here.

Suppose I want to update Building name of CSE department from B1 to C1 in 301 room no ,Now
you have to update all the Building from B1 to C1 ,Here in table two CSE department is there .
While Updation of depart if I forget to update some data then I can not say which data is
correct .

When you are going to delete this information then automatically complete record will be delete
and when you will delete this touple from the table then this dept name (MBBS) will be also
deleted But when you delete dept name then you can not gat any information about this
dept(MBBS). So this is a delete anomly .you can delete student information but this dept still exist
in college.

• Data normalization can help remove unnecessary data
from databases.
