Use of text: The use of text is very bold and easy to see, from the time frame 2:29 we can see the title of
(Title, Credits, animated captions, stings, finding nemo. It is very big bold. The colour of the text is a light baby blue. The purpose of this
indents, interactive menus, web banner) is to make it easier for the little children to recognise and read. The audience would be the
children more due to the fact that it is a film targeted for the film.
Brief description: The original clip that I have found originally was blocked of YouTube. So I managed to find
What do you see? another one which was longer but the originally clip started from the timeframe 0:50. From
the timeframe 0:50 we see the Marty waking up in an anemone. The title sequence shows a
little story from what happened before it. From the timeframe 1:00 to 1:16 we see the Marty
visiting the little cave where they kept all their eggs. We see the emotion and shock that he
has when he sees that all of the eggs are gone. Along with that his wife is also gone, we see
him showing his emotion. From the timeframe 1:44 we see one egg on the side of the cave,
Marty sees this and immediately goes to it. From 2:08 to finish we see the title sequence
appearing up.
Techniques used: The animation used was CGI as we can see from the video the graphics used for this film is
Animation, Visual Effects, Colour Rendering, really good. The detail of the lighting is really detailed. As we can see from the timeframe 0:58.
Graphics, Movement The details of the actual models are very eye catching with their big eyes and bright colours.
The target audience of this film are children so with use of really professional CGI would attract
a lot of audience not just children. The uses of colours are very good, like I said from the dark
lighting to the bright lighting. As we can see from the timeframe 2:28. The movement are very
still, because it is a children film they don’t tend to make the movement very graphical
because it might not make it appropriate.

Advanced techniques: As we can see from the start or the video (0:50) we see the blur technique being used. The
Blur, Sharpen, Distortion, Rotation, Opacity purpose of this is to make the audience feel attached to the film. To generate an emotional
attachment. The sharpen technique is used nearly at all times of the film all of models and the
surroundings of the film look very sharp and crisp clear the film makes have made this film
very good in terms of graphic because they want to attract the audience. In this case it would
be the children and also adults.
Technical comments: The video format is running on 360p, normally the highest format you can play a video on
Video Format, Screen Ratio, Resolution, YouTube is 1080p. Before 1080p you go through 480p and 720p. The higher you increase the
Frame rate, Compression video format the more it would look better because it is running in high definition. The
advantage of this is of course watching videos in high definition and crisp clear viewing but the
disadvantage of this the higher you make you the video format the more the video will
struggle in playing due to the fact that it is focusing more on the resolution of the video. You
will tend to get lag a lot more often. The screen ration that I was using was 16:9. I think this is
standard widescreen use. But the standard ratio is 4:3. The advantage of this is you get to
watch the video widescreen and it looks better. Whereas 4:3 doesn’t it looks very squashed in
terms of watching it.

Web Banners – A form of web advertising that is embedded into a web page. They are used to attract a viewer to their website. A Web
Banner usually a mix of motion graphics and video
Video Format - 3 Main Formats HD, PAL, NTSC. HD is the highest resolution (720 or 1080 vertical lines in the image). PAL is the UK
Standard definition image (576 vertical lines). NTSC is the US Standard definition image (480 vertical lines). Now in the
digital age we now look at video format in terms of pixels (i.e. High definition 1080; 1920 x 1080 or 2,073,600 pixels)
Screen ratio – Standard TV ratio is 4:3; this means that for every 4 units wide it is 3 units high. It is likely that the screen ratio will be
Widescreen (16:9) in a cinematic sequence.
Resolution – The amount of detail in an image or signal, such as Standard TV Definition and High Definition. See Video Format.
Frame Rate - The number of video or film frames displayed each second (frames per second; fps). PAL frame (standard UK TV) is 25
fps, NTSC (standard US TV) is 30 fps, film is 24 fps. This means as NTSC updates more regularly there is less strobing
(jerkiness).
Compression – The use of Codecs (WMV, DivX) to reduce the file size of a video by a variety of methods. This sometimes means a loss in
image quality (a “lossy”). Codecs are found in Video Cameras, DVD players / recorders, Editing Packages, Video upload
sites)
