Mother's Milk is a mobile solution that uses scanning technology to prevent wrong breast milk feedings in NICUs. It works by scanning a baby's wristband, printing matching labels for bottles, rescanning labels during feedings, and rescanning wristbands to verify correct matches. Since implementing it, Pomona Valley Hospital has had no breast milk errors, bringing higher quality care. It has prevented over 480 potential misfeeds and $16-20 million in potential savings while integrating with existing health systems.
