Dr Manish Das along with his mother Mrs Rupali Baruah
Das started career counseling in 2000, when it was still
quite new to individuals in North-East India. They launched
the campaign and used marketing techniques like
presentations in colleges and word-of-mouth advertising.

ater is our life, and our life flows like a river

proliferating many of our significant needs
besides drinking, like cooking, bathing, washing, cleaning,
gardening, farming, and public and private utilization, water
has always been our being quencher. The growing popula-
tion, urbanization, industrialization, extensive farming, and
global warming depleting our existing water resources like
natural and man-made reservoirs has been constantly
forcing us to look for water harvesting and other alterna-
tives like waste-water treatment.
Generating more water is possible through water treatment
solutions like treating sea water, sewage water, and
industrial sources. Understanding the growing need to
provide drinking water to everyone, treating wastewater has
become one of the significant aspects of a sustainable
future.
In this cause, a passionate researcher, and social entrepre-

the concept behind Winn water.
Gewinn Wachstum is a decade-old organization catering to
the need of society by dispensing pure safe and clean
drinking water across Karnataka at affordable cost
indiscriminately. Shouldering the health of communities at
large, Gewinn Wachstum is a multi-product, multi-channel
organization having millions of satisfied customers. Our
company has always been on the front line to embrace extra
responsibility, especially at alarming hours. Our portfolio
encompasses water treatment units, EPs, Software Technol-
ogy Parks (STPs), eco-friendly building technology, and
solutions to liquid storage having a footprint in 18 districts
in Karnataka.
Water dispensing units are conceptualized with not only
shouldering the health of the community but also impacting
the social economic development of rural patches across
Karnataka. The customized solutions and seven stages of
filtration at each kiosk help us stand unique in every way.
Women empowerment is mounting by the culture earning in
learning, our policies and practices are fair and transparent
which are helping us achieve market leadership. Winn water

What challenges did you face to establish your organiza-
tion ‘Gewinn Wachstum?
For any business owner entrepreneur or for leader, generat-
ing goodwill and creating a work relationship network is
the biggest challenge. In entrepreneurship, work takes up a
large part of their lives, so it is very important to be happy
with that as the next crucial challenge. Building a support
system on the personal front and the professional end was a
task, deciding best with a bundle of business ideas traffick-
ing the action on grounds was tough.
The easy felt toughest challenges were, making people
understand the value of water, training our staff to be
proactive rather than reactive, constantly monitoring
customer community relations which demanded water
stewardship to develop public support, and making policies
to balance the fluctuations of working staff on their
hierarchy.
Share your journey in the industry and how you made
Gewin Wachstum excel in its niche?
I have been an entrepreneur, social activist, and writer—
has been a force of action that has enabled me in leading a
life of humility, diligence, compassion, love, and empathy.
A homemaker turned social entrepreneur; I consistently
pressed the issue of water shortage. My startup, Gewinn
Wachstum helps communities of the underprivileged
stratum to get access to safe drinking water at affordable
cost indiscriminately. As against shouldering to the health
of the nation, it provides employment to women to help
them secure financial independence, integrity to uneducated
youth, and dignity of work for to physically challenged.
This initiative has converted many littered and dumped
areas into resourceful places by creating water points.
The project has offered leadership solutions for cities and
citizens, addressing the social issue through a business
model paving way for urbanization. Through novel
applications and positive change in the health and happiness
of communities has proven her business is for the greater
social good and not just the pursuit of profits. Looking at
philanthropy seriously, I started the Vistaara foundation
where individuals are offered affordable and accessible
shared spaces for social activities. These stimulate new
discoveries to increase capacity broaden opportunities for
inclusion, celebrate innovation and capitalize on both
collective and individual learning.
The foundation has been involved in many activities like
donation drives, skill development, mental health programs,
community learning, and go-green initiatives and has done
many collaborative projects to shape society for better
living. I feel that age is just a number; I am young at heart
as I continue to serve enthusiastically at YCC, a youth wing
of the public relations council of India as the National
Chairperson. I like to help youth with skills to build
community resilience, awakening programs to create
environmental sustainability and walk the talk that youth at
community collaboration becomes the default approach to
social change in creating a socially conscious society.
What professional values and qualities do you think
your clients value in you and Gewinn Wachstum—the
most?
We at Gewinn induce a problem-solving mindset at each
stratum of our workforce that helps create a map of changes
as per customer needs helping us in customer retention and
admiration. We create a sense of purpose in every transaction

at your healthiest best to live up to your true
potential. Being healthiest all the time is a constant race
against diseases, illnesses, sicknesses, and ailments. Add to
it an unhealthy lifestyle, modern hypertension-full routine,
and increasing reliance on hazardous, junk, and fast food,
and the adversities are enough for anybody to get affected
with any of the health conditions common in almost all the
developed and developing nations and their populations.
The coronavirus pandemic then seems just an aspect of a
health crisis looming large over the world even after
COVID-19’s erasing.
The solution proposed by Dr Rishabh Verma, the national
health doctor and the Founder of Nutrillion, on a mission
to perfect global health, is profoundly simple. Dr
Rishabh’s vision is to clearly distinguish general nutrition
from personalized nutrition. According to him, it is a fact
that dietary needs and factors have resulted in numerous
diseases and health problems globally. Dr Rishabh’s
number one purpose is to create a healthy country and
world using Nutrition to correct the adverse changes in the
lifestyle of people and promote healthy living. “We want to
give people hope through real results that come from our
personalized nutrition and dietary plans. Our vision is to
create a healthy country with a healthy lifestyle through
personalized nutrition, and genetic testing to know the root
cause of any disease,” proclaims Dr Rishabh.
The Lifelong Learner
Born in the most beautiful city, Vikasnagar of Dehradun,
Uttarakhand, Dr Rishabh was brought up by his parents
after his grandparents’ demise, in a nuclear family of an
elder brother, and a younger sister. Then in 2015, he lost his
father. Yet he took it as a part of life. Throughout his
education–primary and secondary in Paonta Sahib,
Himachal Pradesh, post-graduation in business manage-
ment, till his doctorate in Nutritional Science in 2021–Dr
Rishabh remained a brilliant youngster. He further studied
Body Anatomy at Lionel University California USA and
became a professional Anatomist.
Throughout his years, as he has gained numerous degrees
and qualifications, Dr Rishabh innately and unintentionally
followed on the path to becoming a doctor cum nutritionist.
A few of his degrees and qualifications include Advanced
Specialization in Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics and
various International and National Credentials in Nutrition,
Gut Health, General Health, and Genetic Science Educa-
tion, Qualified Advanced Diabetes Educator, and Qualified
Cancer Nutritionist from Apollo Research Institute,
Bangalore.
Always being a unique student, Dr Rishabh’s thinking
process is distinct from his contemporaries. Having been
taught that to succeed is to be educated, he is always ready
to learn and learn some more. He was always ready to
learn, having been taught previously that to succeed is to be
educated. Although his early childhood days were filled
with the usual academic challenges, he made sure to learn
from all his experiences and push himself to become the
best version of himself.
Following in the words of Anthony J. I D’Angelo, ‘Every
man should develop a passion for learning. If you do, you
will never cease to grow,’ Dr Rishabh attributes all his
success to his ability to adapt and learn from his experi-
ences and the experiences of the people around him.
Dr. Rishabh believes himself to be a lifelong learner
because, “When you learn, your mind can live forever. The
mind is like a sponge, it loves to soak up as much informa-
tion as possible, and I’ve learned to only take in the most
vital and useful information alternatively,” says Dr.Rishabh

Please tell us about the saga of your reputed business
leadership from the beginning.
It is usually the leader or the founder who drives the
business. Here I would say, Chakori has driven us each day
to work.

The love we have received from day one from our clients
has been overwhelming and has been the major motivation
for us to curate something new each day. It is like when a
teacher appreciates a student, he starts performing even
better to stay up to the mark. Similar is the case with us. We
have been upgrading ourselves each day since day one of
getting into business and have focused on delivering better
than yesterday. This is the only driving force in our team.
We do not believe in staying in the same place. Our
competition is behind us by yesterday and that is enough for
all of us to keep growing even in our personal lives. Our
employees have been very loyal, and we have had a zero-
attrition rate till now. The reason is self-motivation and
appreciation of each other’s work. There is a lot of peer
learning culture, and the focus is on self-growth. Being an
all-women’s organization, the zeal for teaching and learning
from each other is so high that everyone is a leader here.
The qualities are so unique in each one of us, and luckily,
we have been optimizing them to the core. Business is not
a one-man show anymore and when you work as a team,
the growth is substantial, and the saga is so personal to each
one that we feel the belongingness here.
What was your inspiration behind venturing into the
business arena?
Well, I was always willing to start my own venture since
my MBA days. But I would say, COVID has been a boon to
me. I got time to figure out what exactly my forte was and
how I was supposed to execute the same in the form of a
business start-up that would add value to all women around
me and solve a problem as well. I started as a B2B private
label manufacturer majorly for budding women entrepre-
neurs who had less capital and wanted to own a brand. I
started manufacturing garments for them in smaller MOQs
helping them establish brands of their own. In 2 years, we
helped 13 brands to get onboarded and 9 women entrepre-
neurs to grow. Today, Chakori is not just a D2C kids' wear
brand but also a small business supporter. We manufacture
for brands in small MOQs under private labels and help
them grow. We get inspired when we cater to such budding
brands and ultimately when they grow, we grow.
What were the initial challenges that you had to
surmount to ensure Chakori’s success rate reached
greater heights?
Challenges are parallel to every start-up. The initial or the
biggest challenge is to start. Once you have started, you
have embraced the journey of challenges. But the best part
is, you have chosen it. And you start enjoying this within no
time. The biggest satisfaction you get is when you never
expected your older self to achieve or meet the chal-
lenge/milestone and you do it now. I think that’s where you
start breaking blocks and start walking toward your vision.
Consistency & perseverance is the key. I personally have
been wearing different hats each day to ensure that we
optimally utilize every opportunity. Keeping the motivation
on amongst your team members is the utmost important and
challenging thing today.
What leadership skills, values, and qualities do you
think your clients admire in you and Chakori the most?
We are very flexible in terms of price points. We have
various price products which somewhere fit into the client’s
pocket in some or the other way. So none of our clients go
empty-handed. We believe in conscious mindful clothing,
which is appreciated by our clients, especially being in the
kid’s segment, we take care of minute details. We are very
quality conscious hence we use the best cotton and focus on
comfort and elegant styling.

Unfolding the Initial Phases
Entrepreneurship was a quality that was ingrained in him
from a very young age. But the first time Onkar got an
opportunity was when he was pursuing his M.S in
Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Onkar was working on a high-performance trading
algorithm, and he knew that hedge funds were on the
lookout for AI-based machine trading algorithms.
He spent four months developing-tweaking the algorithm,
found a buyer, and closed the deal in just 30 days. This
initial success made him understand the importance of
studying the market and finding a solution for something
that the customers are looking for. From there, Onkar began
his journey in the tech space by starting his own company
that delivered enterprise mobile applications.
Using his data modeling, machine learning, and AI
background, Onkar created a platform that helped
customers with a minimum $2 Mn annual logistics spend to
save their shipping costs by up to 24%. This was a game
changer in the industry as he was bringing data points to
smaller shippers, which helped them negotiate better rates
with the carriers.
From here, Onkar started working on Zimaxx, his current
venture, where he and his team are launching the world’s
first Safety Service Aggregator Platform called “Captain

West Bengal. In, 2009 our primary TET book
sold six lakhs copies of books. In 2012, we sold

What was your inspiration behind venturing into the business arena? Well, I was always willing to start my own venture since my MBA days. But I would say, COVID has been a boon to me. I got time to figure out what exactly my forte was and how I was supposed to execute the same in the form of a business start-up that would add value to all women around me and solve a problem as well. I started as a B2B private label manufacturer majorly for budding women entrepre- neurs who had less capital and wanted to own a brand. I started manufacturing garments for them in smaller MOQs helping them establish brands of their own. In 2 years, we helped 13 brands to get onboarded and 9 women entrepre- neurs to grow. What were the initial challenges that you had to surmount to ensure Chakori’s success rate reached greater heights? Challenges are parallel to every start-up. The initial or the biggest challenge is to start. Once you have started, you have embraced the journey of challenges. But the best part is, you have chosen it. And you start enjoying this within no time. The biggest satisfaction you get is when you never expected your older self to achieve or meet the chal- lenge/milestone and you do it now. I think that’s where you start breaking blocks and start walking toward your vision. Consistency & perseverance is the key. I personally have been wearing different hats each day to ensure that we optimally utilize every opportunity. Keeping the motivation on amongst your team members is the utmost important and challenging thing today.
