Morné is an Internal Auditor within the Risk Advisory Services department.
He is currently studying towards his Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
qualification (Part 1 & 2 completed) and is a member of the Institute of
Internal Auditors.
Morné’s critical thinking skills and “fast learning” ability makes him a
competent, effective and efficient internal auditor. He continuously looks
for opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills set. He has excellent
communication skills and is very professional in his work.
From September 2012 – December 2014, Morné worked for LeRich
Management, while still studying. He started as a Camera Operator and
was later promoted to a Camera Operator and Engagement Manager which
has expanded his people and leadership skills.
In 2013 Morné was awarded his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Internal
Auditing. In the same year, Morné grew his leadership skills as he was part
of the Internal Audit Student Representative Council.
In 2014 Morné was awarded his Honours degree in Internal Auditing. In the
same year, he was shortlisted for the top 5 presenters in the Honours class
to attend the annual IAEP Network and Leadership student conference in
Orlando, Florida. Morné was also awarded as a Golden Key member for the
top 15% achievers in the Class of 2014.

Daily duties:
 Assisting Audit Managers with the planning of new audit
engagement.
 Conduct audit engagements or perform special projects requested
by management in line with the company’s audit methodology.
 Work with management to identify risks that would prevent
achievement of their business/process objectives, and determine
whether appropriate controls are in place to mitigate these risks.
 Documenting of System Descriptions and identifying of control
deficiencies.
 Documenting audit procedures for the execution of audit field
work.
 Prepare audit reports and working papers that support opinion and
recommendations to improve process, system and control
deficiencies.
 Performing follow-up audit engagements.
 Ensure management is kept appraised of audit activities/findings,
communicate audit results and recommended actions to
management, and determine the appropriate and timely action is
being taken for significant items previously reported.
