Morgan le Fay is a complex figure from Arthurian legend known by many names and possessing a variety of powers. She is the half-sister of King Arthur and mother of Mordred, who would later kill Arthur. As a sorceress and enchantress, Morgan plots against Arthur and Guinevere multiple times out of jealousy and a desire for power. After being banished from Camelot, she rules her own lands for many years. Some versions depict a reconciliation between Morgan and Arthur in the end. Adaptations of the character portray her as both villainous and with potential for redemption.
