This document discusses how governments can fund large-scale climate action projects through deficit spending and creating money. It argues that the US federal government has historically created money to fund major projects like the New Deal and WWII through deficit spending, not taxation or loans. Similarly, massive investments will be needed to transition away from fossil fuels to stabilize the climate. However, political will and public pressure must drive governments to prioritize climate spending over other interests like national defense. The Climate Mobilization movement aims to organize people around this moral issue and influence politics to achieve the necessary climate investments.
