MOOD BOARD
About the mood board
• My mood board directly and indirectly represents multiple aspects of the film opening sequence and film I
will be creating. The reason I have used a picture of Adolf Hitler Propaganda was because of his infamous
evil power. He was also a very clever politician and he resembles the power the psychopath in this thriller
film believes he has. This is due to psychopaths seeing other people as ‘meagre objects’ and feel they have
superiority over others.
• The noose and the cuts on the wrist both come hand in hand however not in the suicidal sense, the
opening begins following the antagonist (who is the psychopath) who hangs someone from a tree and
carves numbers into the victims chest. This is why there is a picture of cryptic code on my mood board. I
also have behind all the pictures the foggy obscure setting.
• The spider was used as many people including me are scared of them. Though thrillers aren’t there to
primarily frighten the audience as a horror would, there is still a aspect of fear in my characters, though it’s
in different ways, My character Mitch is scared of his wife being killed after witnessing the dead corpse in
the woods, and the psychopath was always scared as an abused child.
• The use of chains was used as all the characters feel bound by aspects of their lives, for example the IT
character who I will include will be bound by his job and the fear that he has now up taken, by seeing the
corpse. The detective character will be bound by the choice of his wife's death a few months before, the
events of the film.
