2. Hyperlocal with the Neighbourhood Networks Platform
› Neighbourhood Networks: An experimental platform
developed at The University of Sydney
- Catering for hyperlocal services, i.e. location-based services
concentrating on very specific and constrained geographical
regions.
- Trends show that communities are looking closer to home for
services to help with everyday needs from washing cars and
gardening to babysitting.

Walkthrough of the Neighbourhood Networks platform:
10. Hyperlocal with the Neighbourhood Networks Platform
› What this platform does well:
- This platform places the user in the geographic centre, allowing
them to create regions based on simple structures like
postcodes up to complex regions such as free-form polygons
that may or may not include/exclude particular locations.
- Allows these regions to be reused across a variety of hyperlocal
services.

- Perhaps you already have a hyperlocal service and want
to connect it to other hyperlocal services?
