Canada's counter-terrorism strategy is failing to address both domestic and international terrorism threats. Domestically, far-right white supremacist groups perpetrate violence with impunity while extremist Islamic groups are fueled by backlash against Western policies. Internationally, a policy focusing solely on direct military action is criticized for disregarding the global nature of terrorism and risk of fueling anti-Western sentiment. An alternative is for Canada to strengthen UN leadership on security issues and international law to develop multilateral counter-terrorism strategies.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

Right now, there is a war going on, a war on wolves. More than 1,000 wolves
were killed in the Northern Rockies since they were delisted in Montana,
Wyoming and Idaho.
The FWS has proposed to take gray wolves off the Endangered Species Act in
most of America’s states. If this happens, hunters will be allowed to kill as many
wolves as they want in a season, and in the cruelest ways. Gray wolves aren’t
ready to be delisted yet; they need a few more years to re-populate before they
are back up to their original numbers.
Not only are wolves my favorite wild animal, they are also a big part of
keeping the earth healthy. They control the population of many animals that
would over-populate without wolves. I believe no animal should be killed
without good reason.
The FWC should leave the gray wolves on the Endangered Species list until
they are completely ready to fight on their own. ALL trapping should be
banned, when you trap, there is no way to pick out the age/size of the wolf that
would be trapped until they are already dead. I know all killing cannot be
prevented, so there should be a limit to the amount of wolves hunters are

question that most people seem to be asking. It lives in a
freshwater loch, so it would have to be a freshwater fish/marine
species, right? Or it just has to be some kind of dinosaur, well
that’s highly untrue. The ‘monster’ of Loch Ness is something
completely unexpected.
Since I first time I heard about Nessie, I thought it was a hoax.
The neck that stuck out of the water, the humps that broke the
surface, I mean come on, who would believe that? So I decided to
do a little research on it, and I found out that many people
actually believe that it’s some kind of sea serpent or dinosaur. For
a few weeks I was so freaked out by the thought of some giant sea
serpent living in a loch. I wouldn’t swim in my totally safe, except
for the stupid boaters and fish cribs that are made of concrete
14. Completed Assignment
(Cont.):I had almost forgotten about Nessie when my sister ran up to me
one day, all excited about the season finale of her favorite show, and
of course I said I would watch it with her, like I had watched most of
the other episodes. So on the night that it came on, I asked her what
the guy was going to try to catch (it was a sort of fishing show) and
to my surprise she said “The Loch Ness Monster”. I was baffled for a
moment, considering that I had just gotten to the conclusion that it
wasn’t real and that it was just a trick of the light, now I was for sure
interested. As we watched I learned a lot more about Nessie. Hardly
anyone has actually seen the “head” that peaks about water, like in
most pictures. I was sitting on the edge of my seat for the entire
episode.
When it was nearing the end, I started worrying that he would
never find what the Loch Ness Monster actually was, but like usual,
he pulled through and caught what could be the biggest mystery in
15. Completed Assignment
(Cont.):Nessie isn’t the rare sea serpent that everyone thought he was, but
rather a rare shark who wanders into the loch occasionally in
search of food. I was pretty embarrassed that I actually thought
there was a giant monster lurking in the water when really it’s a
docile shark that lives like 8,000 ft. under the ocean. I’m not the
only one though, the pictures are really convincing, I give the
people who made them much credit for being able to fool millions
of people into thinking there was a serpent living in a loch. Thank
you Jeremy Wade for catching this “monster” and clearing up all
the confusion about it
