Aims:
This course is designed to provide the undergraduate dental technology students with the
basic theoretical & technical knowledge and skills to fabricate maxillofacial obturators. A
solid theoretical background, relevant to technical and clinical aspects of maxillofacial
obturators, will also be provided.
Learning Outcomes:
After successfully completion of the course students should be able to demonstrate:
Ability to make artificial ear, nose and eye prosthesis using plaster for its base and wax for
carving their shape.
Contents:
It composed of 4 hours practical and one hour theoretical lecture.
Assessments:
The weight (%) of each assessment must be predetermined and the total = 100
