Shape Task
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
The thing I liked about my image was that I got the body of the rabbit was a very
accurate shape. I also like the fading colours on the main part of the body because it
makes it more realistic than just one block colour.
What would you improve if you did it again?
Blend the colours better to make a more smooth/even tone on the skin, and add a
little more detail to the rabbit itself like for example make it look more furry.
Rotoscope
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
The thing I liked about my image was that the shapes and characteristics of the
person were very accurate. Also the background I made it look very similar to the
original image by matching the fonts/font colours and the details like the blurring of
the fonts too.
What would you improve if you did it again?
Add more detail to the skin tone and wrinkles to add in the tiny skin details and to add
in some flaws to make it more realistic.
Text Based
Evaluation
What did you like about your text/image?
What I liked about the Hansel and Gretel picture was that the text was very obscure
and fitting with the picture and story itself. I also liked the effect I put on the image
overall it made it look very old fashioned and just like the book was itself.
What I liked about my other text that I did of my name was the different fonts and
colours. I especially liked the bold ‘Impact’ text that has a picture behind, I like this one
the most because it is very interesting/abstract to look at and the image behind has
more than one pattern which I chose purposefully to make it less boring, to stand out
and be different.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I was to do the Hansel and Gretel text again I would add a little more to it and make
the text stand out more and to make it something that isn’t seen usually.
If I was to do my other text of my name again I would make the fonts (apart from the
one with the picture behind it) more interesting as all they include is a font and a
colour. Also with my picture text I would put an image behind that I had designed
myself. So for example I would create my own pattern using the skills I learnt from my
shape task, or I would rotoscope myself to put that behind the text as it is my name, so
it would be like a self-portrait rotoscope.
Comic Book
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
What I liked about my image was the details and effects of the
filter I chose. I like the way it brings out Penny’s features very
elegantly, with still keeping the picture to it’s original
quality/standard.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I were to do it again if I had more time on my hands I would
really play around with the different settings so that the
editing/filter is exactly how I want it.
Photography
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
The thing I liked about my image was that it was very clear what
was happening. Also the quality of my photos were good and the
thought bubbles added extra effect to the story.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I was to do it again I would make sure I had more time so I
could get my editing perfect and accurate. And I would use
different scenery.
Background
Evaluation
What did you like about your images?
The thing I liked about the first image was that it was a nice scenery to begin
with, and then when I added a filter and some custom shape tools it added
more to the photo and made it quite interesting and abstract.
What I liked about my second image was that I turned it from quite a bright
picture to more of a dull-looking picture. Which made it a bit different. I also
added some custom shape tools to this image too to make it so the picture
had things going on in it rather than it just being a scenery picture. I like that I
made it look liked someone was living there, it made it more like a real-life
house.
What would you improve if you did it again?
To improve on both I would really pay attention to the graphics and sharpness of the
pictures so that I would ensure the editing/effect I have added is at the right level I
want it.
Illustration
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
What I liked about my image was that it is a very accurate visual representation of the
children’s story ‘The Three little Pigs’. I also liked the text and the effects I added like
the word ‘blow’ was in big messy font to represent the sounds/motions that that
action makes.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I was to do it again I would use felt tips rather than coloured pencils to do the
colours. This is because then the colours would be more vibrant and they would make
the picture neater and stand out more. Also for the bricks on the house I would use a
ruler to make it look straighter.
Initial Ideas
This mood board shows what ideas I
have taken from The Three Little Pigs
and the things I have changed slightly
to make mine slightly different
Title ideas
Annotations
- Three little rabbits instead of three little pigs.
- Cardboard house as the second house instead of wood.
The rabbits find the cardboard by the side of a house so they
take it to build their second house. But the fox pushes it over.
- The third rabbit has a stash of food which he abandons to run
away from the fox, so the fox gets the food but doesn’t get
chance to eat it before he is shot.
My Illustrations
• These two pictures are ideas/designs I am using to create my Rota-scoping
images/cartoons.
• The three little rabbits: The rabbits will be cartoon, the colour grey and all
similar looking as they are related.
• These two images again are ideas and designs I am going to use to
create/design my fox.
• The fox will be evil-looking and the typical orange and white colour.
The Story (improved)
There are three little rabbits who have recently being sent off to live in the woods because they got too old to
live with their parents. They recently heard about ‘The Fat Fierce Fox’ roaming about town and that it was an
extremely hungry fox, and decided they all needed to build their own house to protect themselves from the
Fox.
The first little rabbit built his house quickly and quietly as he had suspicions someone (the Fox) was watching
him. So it built his house out of straw as he saw a lovely young lady passing by and asked her politely if he
could borrow some straw. The first little rabbit built it’s house and shut himself inside so he was protected from
the wolf. But later that day when it got to night time the fox sneaked up on the rabbit and blew his house
down. No-one ever saw the first little rabbit again.
The second little rabbit wanted her house to be a little stronger so she made her house out of some cardboard
she found at the side of someone’s house. She quickly built her house and hopped inside. But the only problem
was the Fat Fierce Fox was quite strong and sneaky. So the second rabbit didn’t really stand a chance either, but
she tried. So again the fox went to attempt to gobble up the second rabbit. “You think cardboard is any better
than straw, you fool!” the fat fierce fox shouted. And he pushed the house down. No-one ever saw the second
little rabbit again either.
The third rabbit was a smart and witty rabbit, he built his house out of bricks he had borrowed from a man
walking down the road. So he went on to build his house and gathered a stash of food incase of emergencies.
Then of course the fox came along but this time with a weapon. The Fat Fierce Fox attempted to smash down
the brick house with it’s hammer but it did not work. It grunted in fury. Then broke the door down with his
hammer. As he got inside to his surprise the third rabbit had gone. So the fox sat and waited and waited for the
third rabbit to come back, but he never returned. No-one ever saw the third little rabbit again either, but not
because it had being gobbled up by the fox, but because he had moved far far away with a new rabbit family
and lived happily ever after. The Fat Fierce fox was beginning to get very hungry waiting for the third rabbit to
return. And just as he came across the stash of food, it was too late. The fox heard a noise outside, it got
excited because he thought it was the rabbit. When in fact it was a man hunting the mean fox down and
captured it’s in revenge of hurting the two rabbits.
And no one was ever bothered by the Fat Fierce Fox ever again.
The End.
Proposal
Dimensions
In total my book will have 8 pages and the size of the pages will all be A5.
Story Overview
Three little rabbits move out of their home and each make a new house built out of different
materials. One of three is the only successful. Which leads to serious consequences for some of
the rabbits. This does not mean the fox came out well, because he didn’t, he is hunted and
captured by a man for all the mischief he had caused.
Export Format

Advantages: You can use it pretty much anywhere without any restrictions.
Disadvantages: It loses quality with multiple edits due to compression and
recompression each time it is edited.
Deadline

Audience
(Think about who you are targeting as your audience. Consider age, gender, class, location and other characteristics which
could define your audience.)
My age demographic will be ages 4-8 for both genders. This is so the children are old enough to understand and cope with the
rabbits being ‘gobbled up’ by the fox. And so that they are young enough to find the story interesting and exciting. It will be for
both genders because there is no specific gender interest for this story as in the three little pigs story none of the characters
are labelled a specific gender or name. So it will be the child’s interpretation of what gender they are, neither genders will
prefer it to the other, both will equally enjoy it.
The class would be middle class, this is because for the price of the book these are the people that are most likely to afford it
and buy it as it is their sort of price range. Someone of a higher class may buy a more expensive version or just more
expensive/higher standard books in general.
Production Methods
(Explain the methods you are going to use to produce your pages. Show us the thinking behind
your decisions for a more detail response)
I will be using rota-scoping on Photoshop for my characters, because they are going to be
cartoon so that will be the most affective and I think that will give them the best look. I will
also use Photoshop for my pages as well because all the scenery/people I am putting on the
pages will be done in Photoshop, so I will add them all on there so that I can edit to my best
ability and so that it can be all up to the same standard.
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
You explained in full detail what the story would be
about. You changed the characters and title of the
story to the original book .
The Three Little Rabbits - ‘The Three Little Pigs.’
You also had a good story outline. The reader was
able to know what happened to the rabbits.(plot)
The end was dramatic, as the reader was in
suspense.
You used clever images and annotations to
illustrate the characters in the story.
The story outline is good but you can shorten the
text, so it would be more of a summary. Try not to
give out all the details of the story in the outline
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
The proposal is very detailed and explains the idea
very clearly. The explanation about the age
demographic is especially good as it does not leave
any guessing as to what your aim is with this
product.
You could perhaps explain why you chose to
change the characters (pigs to rabbits, etc.) as this
could be another evaluative point.
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
The idea generation is very good and leaves little to
the imagination. It is easy to see your vision of what
this product will be and what you hope to achieve
with it.
Maybe digitalise the mind map as some of it is hard
to read and it could be added to and perfected if
needed this way.
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
There is a lot of detail on what your story is about
and I like the fact you have done a well known story
but gave it a little twist by changing the characters.
You could maybe explain why you chose to do
rabbits instead of pigs. But apart from that to me
your proposal seems very good.
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
Your have put a lot of effort into your idea
generation, it is quite easy to see what your vision
is here
You have used good images to present what you
want your book to be like
I think you need slightly more detail in your
annotations for your mood board.
Feedback Summary
Sum up your feedback.
They liked the fact that I had changed the story a little bit to add a twist, and one of
them particularly liked the ending as you were in suspense. The improvements were to
give less detail on my story outline, so I do not give too much away, to annotate my
mood board more, to explain why I chose rabbits and a fox instead of the original story,
and to digitalise my mind map so it is easier to read and slightly neater.
Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why?
I agree with most of it as they are very helpful and correct comments that were things I
did not think of.
Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why?
The fact of digitalising my mind map. I agree it could be neater/easier to read, but it is
readable and the fact that it’s messy isn’t really an issue because a mind map is like a
brainstorm of everything you have thought of and every idea you have come up with, so
the fact that it isn’t the neatest isn’t really a problem.

There was an old sow with three little pigs, and as she had not enough to keep them, she sent them out to seek their fortune. The first that went off met a man with
a bundle of straw, and said to him:
“Please, man, give me that straw to build me a house.”
Which the man did, and the little pig built a house with it. Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said:
“Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”
To which the pig answered:
“No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.”
The wolf then answered to that:
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in.”
So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little pig.
The second little pig met a man with a bundle of furze, and said:
“Please, man, give me that furze to build a house.”
Which the man did, and the pig built his house. Then along came the wolf, and said:
“Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”
“No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.”
“Then I’ll puff, and I’ll huff, and I’ll blow your house in.”
So he huffed, and he puffed, and he puffed, and he huffed, and at last he blew the house down, and he ate up the little pig.
The third little pig met a man with a load of bricks, and said:
“Please, man, give me those bricks to build a house with.”
So the man gave him the bricks, and he built his house with them. So the wolf came, as he did to the other little pigs, and said:
“Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”
“No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.”
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in.”
Well, he huffed, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and huffed; but he could not get the house down. When he found that he could not, with
all his huffing and puffing, blow the house down, he said:
“Little pig, I know where there is a nice field of turnips.”
“Where?” said the little pig.
“Oh, in Mr. Smith’s Home-field, and if you will be ready tomorrow morning I will call for you, and we will go together, and get some for dinner.”
“Very well,” said the little pig, “I will be ready. What time do you mean to go?”
“Oh, at six o’clock.”
Well, the little pig got up at five, and got the turnips before the wolf came (which he did about six) and who said:
“Little Pig, are you ready?”
The little pig said: “Ready! I have been and come back again, and got a nice potful for dinner.”
The wolf felt very angry at this, but thought that he would be up to the little pig somehow or other, so he said:
“Little pig, I know where there is a nice apple-tree.”
“Where?” said the pig.
“Down at Merry-garden,” replied the wolf, “and if you will not deceive me I will come for you, at five o’clock tomorrow and get some apples.”
Well, the little pig bustled up the next morning at four o’clock, and went off for the apples, hoping to get back before the wolf came; but he had further to go, and
had to climb the tree, so that just as he was coming down from it, he saw the wolf coming, which, as you may suppose, frightened him very much. When the wolf
Text on each page
Page 1. ‘Once there were three little rabbits who all lived with their parents. But it was time for them to all move out into their own little
houses. So off they went…’
Page 2. ‘The rabbits came across a young man carrying a big bundle of straw. “Please can I have some of your straw Sir” said the first little
rabbit. “Well of course” replied the man. And off the first little rabbit went to build it’s straw house.’
Page 3. ‘Then walking further down the road the two rabbits saw a man carrying some cardboard. “Please Sir, may I have some of your
cardboard” said the second little rabbit.
“Sure you can” said the man in reply.
And off the second little rabbit went to build his cardboard house.’
Page 4. ‘But the third little rabbit was very clever. He found a man carrying some bricks and asked politely if he could have some. And of
course the man said yes as the little rabbit asked politely. So off the third little pig went to build it’s brick house.’
Page 5. ‘But there was a problem for the three little rabbits, there was a horrid creature called the Fierce Fat Fox that was lurking around
looking for food. The fox had noticed the new arrivals and went off to the first rabbits straw house for something to eat.
“Little Rabbit, Little Rabbit, let me come in!”
“Not by the fur on my chinny chin chin!”
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!”
And so the fox huffed and puffed and blew the little rabbit’s house in.
No one ever saw the first little rabbit again.
Page 6. The very next day The Fierce Fat fox moves onto the second Little Rabbit.
“Little Rabbit, Little Rabbit, let me come in!”
“Not by the fur on my chinny chin chin!”
“Then I’ll push, and I’ll push, and I’ll push your house in!”
And so that’s what the Fierce Fat Fox did.
No-one ever saw the second Little Rabbit again either.
Page 7. The Fox then of course moves onto the third Little Rabbit. As it is walking through the woods the Fox finds a hammer. (thought
bubble of: “hmmm this could come in handy when breaking down the Little Rabbits brick house”). So the fox takes the hammer to the little
pigs house and tries to knock the brick house down with the hammer, but he fails.
“YOU’LL NEVER KNOCK MY BIG STRONG BRICK HOUSE DOWN YOU HORRID FOX!” Shouted the third little rabbit.
Page 8. ‘Then the little rabbit ran away in fear of the fox breaking in some other way. And it’s a good job he did, because the Fierce Fat Fox
broke the door down with it’s hammer to find the third Little Rabbit had disappeared.
“GGGGRRRRRRRRR” Growled the Fierce Fat Fox in fury.’
Page 9. ‘The fox decided wait inside the house for the third Little Rabbit to return. But he never did. The third Little Rabbit had met some
other rabbits and moved far far away from the Fierce Fat Fox.
Page 10. ‘The fox that night had drifted off to sleep but was suddenly awakened by a noise outside. Excited that it may have been the rabbit,
it peeked out of the broken door to see a big, tall, scary man stood outside with a strange big sac. The man was a fox hunter who had been
looking for the Fierce Fat Fox for days, although the fox was not aware of this. So to it’s surprise the Fox was captured in the huge, strange sac
and was taken far away so it couldn’t cause anymore mischief.
The Fierce Fat Fox never bothered anyone ever again.

  • 3. Evaluation What did you like about your image? The thing I liked about my image was that I got the body of the rabbit was a very accurate shape. I also like the fading colours on the main part of the body because it makes it more realistic than just one block colour. What would you improve if you did it again? Blend the colours better to make a more smooth/even tone on the skin, and add a little more detail to the rabbit itself like for example make it look more furry.
  • 5. Evaluation What did you like about your image? The thing I liked about my image was that the shapes and characteristics of the person were very accurate. Also the background I made it look very similar to the original image by matching the fonts/font colours and the details like the blurring of the fonts too. What would you improve if you did it again? Add more detail to the skin tone and wrinkles to add in the tiny skin details and to add in some flaws to make it more realistic.
  • 7. Evaluation What did you like about your text/image? What I liked about the Hansel and Gretel picture was that the text was very obscure and fitting with the picture and story itself. I also liked the effect I put on the image overall it made it look very old fashioned and just like the book was itself. What I liked about my other text that I did of my name was the different fonts and colours. I especially liked the bold ‘Impact’ text that has a picture behind, I like this one the most because it is very interesting/abstract to look at and the image behind has more than one pattern which I chose purposefully to make it less boring, to stand out and be different. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to do the Hansel and Gretel text again I would add a little more to it and make the text stand out more and to make it something that isn’t seen usually. If I was to do my other text of my name again I would make the fonts (apart from the one with the picture behind it) more interesting as all they include is a font and a colour. Also with my picture text I would put an image behind that I had designed myself. So for example I would create my own pattern using the skills I learnt from my shape task, or I would rotoscope myself to put that behind the text as it is my name, so it would be like a self-portrait rotoscope.
  • 9. Evaluation What did you like about your image? What I liked about my image was the details and effects of the filter I chose. I like the way it brings out Penny’s features very elegantly, with still keeping the picture to it’s original quality/standard. What would you improve if you did it again? If I were to do it again if I had more time on my hands I would really play around with the different settings so that the editing/filter is exactly how I want it.
  • 11. Evaluation What did you like about your image? The thing I liked about my image was that it was very clear what was happening. Also the quality of my photos were good and the thought bubbles added extra effect to the story. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to do it again I would make sure I had more time so I could get my editing perfect and accurate. And I would use different scenery.
  • 13. Evaluation What did you like about your images? The thing I liked about the first image was that it was a nice scenery to begin with, and then when I added a filter and some custom shape tools it added more to the photo and made it quite interesting and abstract. What I liked about my second image was that I turned it from quite a bright picture to more of a dull-looking picture. Which made it a bit different. I also added some custom shape tools to this image too to make it so the picture had things going on in it rather than it just being a scenery picture. I like that I made it look liked someone was living there, it made it more like a real-life house. What would you improve if you did it again? To improve on both I would really pay attention to the graphics and sharpness of the pictures so that I would ensure the editing/effect I have added is at the right level I want it.
  • 15. Evaluation What did you like about your image? What I liked about my image was that it is a very accurate visual representation of the children’s story ‘The Three little Pigs’. I also liked the text and the effects I added like the word ‘blow’ was in big messy font to represent the sounds/motions that that action makes. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to do it again I would use felt tips rather than coloured pencils to do the colours. This is because then the colours would be more vibrant and they would make the picture neater and stand out more. Also for the bricks on the house I would use a ruler to make it look straighter.
  • 17. This mood board shows what ideas I have taken from The Three Little Pigs and the things I have changed slightly to make mine slightly different
  • 18.
  • 20. Annotations - Three little rabbits instead of three little pigs. - Cardboard house as the second house instead of wood. The rabbits find the cardboard by the side of a house so they take it to build their second house. But the fox pushes it over. - The third rabbit has a stash of food which he abandons to run away from the fox, so the fox gets the food but doesn’t get chance to eat it before he is shot.
  • 21.
  • 22. My Illustrations • These two pictures are ideas/designs I am using to create my Rota-scoping images/cartoons. • The three little rabbits: The rabbits will be cartoon, the colour grey and all similar looking as they are related. • These two images again are ideas and designs I am going to use to create/design my fox. • The fox will be evil-looking and the typical orange and white colour.
  • 23. The Story (improved) There are three little rabbits who have recently being sent off to live in the woods because they got too old to live with their parents. They recently heard about ‘The Fat Fierce Fox’ roaming about town and that it was an extremely hungry fox, and decided they all needed to build their own house to protect themselves from the Fox. The first little rabbit built his house quickly and quietly as he had suspicions someone (the Fox) was watching him. So it built his house out of straw as he saw a lovely young lady passing by and asked her politely if he could borrow some straw. The first little rabbit built it’s house and shut himself inside so he was protected from the wolf. But later that day when it got to night time the fox sneaked up on the rabbit and blew his house down. No-one ever saw the first little rabbit again. The second little rabbit wanted her house to be a little stronger so she made her house out of some cardboard she found at the side of someone’s house. She quickly built her house and hopped inside. But the only problem was the Fat Fierce Fox was quite strong and sneaky. So the second rabbit didn’t really stand a chance either, but she tried. So again the fox went to attempt to gobble up the second rabbit. “You think cardboard is any better than straw, you fool!” the fat fierce fox shouted. And he pushed the house down. No-one ever saw the second little rabbit again either. The third rabbit was a smart and witty rabbit, he built his house out of bricks he had borrowed from a man walking down the road. So he went on to build his house and gathered a stash of food incase of emergencies. Then of course the fox came along but this time with a weapon. The Fat Fierce Fox attempted to smash down the brick house with it’s hammer but it did not work. It grunted in fury. Then broke the door down with his hammer. As he got inside to his surprise the third rabbit had gone. So the fox sat and waited and waited for the third rabbit to come back, but he never returned. No-one ever saw the third little rabbit again either, but not because it had being gobbled up by the fox, but because he had moved far far away with a new rabbit family and lived happily ever after. The Fat Fierce fox was beginning to get very hungry waiting for the third rabbit to return. And just as he came across the stash of food, it was too late. The fox heard a noise outside, it got excited because he thought it was the rabbit. When in fact it was a man hunting the mean fox down and captured it’s in revenge of hurting the two rabbits. And no one was ever bothered by the Fat Fierce Fox ever again. The End.
  • 24. Proposal Dimensions In total my book will have 8 pages and the size of the pages will all be A5. Story Overview Three little rabbits move out of their home and each make a new house built out of different materials. One of three is the only successful. Which leads to serious consequences for some of the rabbits. This does not mean the fox came out well, because he didn’t, he is hunted and captured by a man for all the mischief he had caused. Export Format JPEG Advantages: You can use it pretty much anywhere without any restrictions. Disadvantages: It loses quality with multiple edits due to compression and recompression each time it is edited.
  • 25. Deadline 6th November Audience (Think about who you are targeting as your audience. Consider age, gender, class, location and other characteristics which could define your audience.) My age demographic will be ages 4-8 for both genders. This is so the children are old enough to understand and cope with the rabbits being ‘gobbled up’ by the fox. And so that they are young enough to find the story interesting and exciting. It will be for both genders because there is no specific gender interest for this story as in the three little pigs story none of the characters are labelled a specific gender or name. So it will be the child’s interpretation of what gender they are, neither genders will prefer it to the other, both will equally enjoy it. The class would be middle class, this is because for the price of the book these are the people that are most likely to afford it and buy it as it is their sort of price range. Someone of a higher class may buy a more expensive version or just more expensive/higher standard books in general. Production Methods (Explain the methods you are going to use to produce your pages. Show us the thinking behind your decisions for a more detail response) I will be using rota-scoping on Photoshop for my characters, because they are going to be cartoon so that will be the most affective and I think that will give them the best look. I will also use Photoshop for my pages as well because all the scenery/people I am putting on the pages will be done in Photoshop, so I will add them all on there so that I can edit to my best ability and so that it can be all up to the same standard.
  • 26. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? You explained in full detail what the story would be about. You changed the characters and title of the story to the original book . The Three Little Rabbits - ‘The Three Little Pigs.’ You also had a good story outline. The reader was able to know what happened to the rabbits.(plot) The end was dramatic, as the reader was in suspense. You used clever images and annotations to illustrate the characters in the story. The story outline is good but you can shorten the text, so it would be more of a summary. Try not to give out all the details of the story in the outline What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed?
  • 27. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? The proposal is very detailed and explains the idea very clearly. The explanation about the age demographic is especially good as it does not leave any guessing as to what your aim is with this product. You could perhaps explain why you chose to change the characters (pigs to rabbits, etc.) as this could be another evaluative point. What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed? The idea generation is very good and leaves little to the imagination. It is easy to see your vision of what this product will be and what you hope to achieve with it. Maybe digitalise the mind map as some of it is hard to read and it could be added to and perfected if needed this way.
  • 28. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? There is a lot of detail on what your story is about and I like the fact you have done a well known story but gave it a little twist by changing the characters. You could maybe explain why you chose to do rabbits instead of pigs. But apart from that to me your proposal seems very good. What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed? Your have put a lot of effort into your idea generation, it is quite easy to see what your vision is here You have used good images to present what you want your book to be like I think you need slightly more detail in your annotations for your mood board.
  • 29. Feedback Summary Sum up your feedback. They liked the fact that I had changed the story a little bit to add a twist, and one of them particularly liked the ending as you were in suspense. The improvements were to give less detail on my story outline, so I do not give too much away, to annotate my mood board more, to explain why I chose rabbits and a fox instead of the original story, and to digitalise my mind map so it is easier to read and slightly neater. Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why? I agree with most of it as they are very helpful and correct comments that were things I did not think of. Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why? The fact of digitalising my mind map. I agree it could be neater/easier to read, but it is readable and the fact that it’s messy isn’t really an issue because a mind map is like a brainstorm of everything you have thought of and every idea you have come up with, so the fact that it isn’t the neatest isn’t really a problem.

There was an old sow with three little pigs, and as she had not enough to keep them, she sent them out to seek their fortune. The first that went off met a man with a bundle of straw, and said to him: “Please, man, give me that straw to build me a house.” Which the man did, and the little pig built a house with it. Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said: “Little pig, little pig, let me come in.” To which the pig answered: “No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.” The wolf then answered to that: “Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in.” So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little pig. The second little pig met a man with a bundle of furze, and said: “Please, man, give me that furze to build a house.” Which the man did, and the pig built his house. Then along came the wolf, and said: “Little pig, little pig, let me come in.” “No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.” “Then I’ll puff, and I’ll huff, and I’ll blow your house in.” So he huffed, and he puffed, and he puffed, and he huffed, and at last he blew the house down, and he ate up the little pig. The third little pig met a man with a load of bricks, and said: “Please, man, give me those bricks to build a house with.” So the man gave him the bricks, and he built his house with them. So the wolf came, as he did to the other little pigs, and said: “Little pig, little pig, let me come in.” “No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin.” “Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in.” Well, he huffed, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and huffed; but he could not get the house down. When he found that he could not, with all his huffing and puffing, blow the house down, he said: “Little pig, I know where there is a nice field of turnips.” “Where?” said the little pig. “Oh, in Mr. Smith’s Home-field, and if you will be ready tomorrow morning I will call for you, and we will go together, and get some for dinner.” “Very well,” said the little pig, “I will be ready. What time do you mean to go?” “Oh, at six o’clock.” Well, the little pig got up at five, and got the turnips before the wolf came (which he did about six) and who said: “Little Pig, are you ready?” The little pig said: “Ready! I have been and come back again, and got a nice potful for dinner.” The wolf felt very angry at this, but thought that he would be up to the little pig somehow or other, so he said: “Little pig, I know where there is a nice apple-tree.” “Where?” said the pig. “Down at Merry-garden,” replied the wolf, “and if you will not deceive me I will come for you, at five o’clock tomorrow and get some apples.” Well, the little pig bustled up the next morning at four o’clock, and went off for the apples, hoping to get back before the wolf came; but he had further to go, and had to climb the tree, so that just as he was coming down from it, he saw the wolf coming, which, as you may suppose, frightened him very much. So off they went…’ Page 2. ‘The rabbits came across a young man carrying a big bundle of straw. “Please can I have some of your straw Sir” said the first little rabbit. “Well of course” replied the man. And off the first little rabbit went to build it’s straw house.’ Page 3. ‘Then walking further down the road the two rabbits saw a man carrying some cardboard. “Please Sir, may I have some of your cardboard” said the second little rabbit. “Sure you can” said the man in reply. And off the second little rabbit went to build his cardboard house.’ Page 4. ‘But the third little rabbit was very clever. He found a man carrying some bricks and asked politely if he could have some. And of course the man said yes as the little rabbit asked politely. So off the third little pig went to build it’s brick house.’ Page 5. ‘But there was a problem for the three little rabbits, there was a horrid creature called the Fierce Fat Fox that was lurking around looking for food. The fox had noticed the new arrivals and went off to the first rabbits straw house for something to eat. “Little Rabbit, Little Rabbit, let me come in!” “Not by the fur on my chinny chin chin!” “Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” And so the fox huffed and puffed and blew the little rabbit’s house in. No one ever saw the first little rabbit again. Page 6. The very next day The Fierce Fat fox moves onto the second Little Rabbit. “Little Rabbit, Little Rabbit, let me come in!” “Not by the fur on my chinny chin chin!” “Then I’ll push, and I’ll push, and I’ll push your house in!” And so that’s what the Fierce Fat Fox did. No-one ever saw the second Little Rabbit again either. Page 7. The Fox then of course moves onto the third Little Rabbit. As it is walking through the woods the Fox finds a hammer. (thought bubble of: “hmmm this could come in handy when breaking down the Little Rabbits brick house”). So the fox takes the hammer to the little pigs house and tries to knock the brick house down with the hammer, but he fails. “YOU’LL NEVER KNOCK MY BIG STRONG BRICK HOUSE DOWN YOU HORRID FOX!” Shouted the third little rabbit. Page 8. ‘Then the little rabbit ran away in fear of the fox breaking in some other way. And it’s a good job he did, because the Fierce Fat Fox broke the door down with it’s hammer to find the third Little Rabbit had disappeared. “GGGGRRRRRRRRR” Growled the Fierce Fat Fox in fury.’ Page 9. ‘The fox decided wait inside the house for the third Little Rabbit to return. But he never did. The third Little Rabbit had met some other rabbits and moved far far away from the Fierce Fat Fox. Page 10. ‘The fox that night had drifted off to sleep but was suddenly awakened by a noise outside. Excited that it may have been the rabbit, it peeked out of the broken door to see a big, tall, scary man stood outside with a strange big sac. The man was a fox hunter who had been looking for the Fierce Fat Fox for days, although the fox was not aware of this. So to it’s surprise the Fox was captured in the huge, strange sac and was taken far away so it couldn’t cause anymore mischief. The Fierce Fat Fox never bothered anyone ever again. THE END
