Abstract: Aquaponics and aquaculture going back to basics
Aquaponics systems often require fish that provide an important protein source, like tilapia, which increases costs and complexity through requirements for extensive services, permitting, and knowledge of fish aquaculture. However, using ornamental fish instead could increase the likelihood of project success as they are cheaper and easier to cultivate, feed, and provide waste. This study tested a backyard raft aquaponics system using goldfish or koi as the waste source, and found that koi provided better crop growth than goldfish, with no significant difference between using LED lights or sunlight.

Water ionization treatment apparatus working on the principal of static electricity which is produced by the friction of water (H2O) with the carbon electrodes inside the IOREX. When the electric charge of the static electricity level becomes high, electric discharge takes place and electrons are added to the water molecules and are ionized into +H and -OH ion with a lot of electrons. These electrons prevent corrosion, scaling, kills bacteria by destroying its cells wall.
Additionally, the Physico-chemical parameters also show variation as shown in the tabulated form. The chemical constituents present in water are converted from crystalline nature to globular form thus reducing the nature of its toxicity.
The results of the measurement could be of vital concern in the assessment, diagnosis and prognosis of waterborne disease in the local population of the area under investigation and also to discover the strata of the monitoring area.
