Editor's Notes

  1. Case Method 2.0 is a combination of the Case Method of teaching with the affordances of M-Learning.
  2. Single loop learning appears to be present when goals, values, frameworks, and to a significant extent, strategies are taken for granted. The emphasis is on ‘techniques and making techniques more efficient’. (any reflection is directed toward making the strategy more effective) This occurs when errors are detected and corrected. Firms continue with their present policies and goals. This is the “Lower-level Learning”, “Not-Strategic Learning”, “ This “Adaptive Learning”. This can be used in simple Narrative Driven gamelets that allow learners to practice an established organizational process or procedure Double Loop learning, in contrast to single loop learning involves the questioning the role of the framing and learning systems which underlie actual goals and strategies. This occurs when, in addition to detection and correction of errors, the organization questions and modifies its existing norms, procedures, policies and objectives. It involves changing the organization’s knowledge-base or routines. It is called “Higher-Level Learning”, This can be used for examining recent cases in an interactive manner or for designing Linear Simulations.
