This document discusses using social media and mobile technologies for destination marketing. It outlines how mobile marketing is growing and will reach $20.4 billion in the US by 2015. Two mobile games are proposed to promote tourism destinations in Serbia - a race game highlighting major attractions and an event planning game involving 5 destinations and tasks. Developing these games would recognize the destination marketing organization as an innovator, provide great exposure for clients and partners through an active user base and media coverage, and add value beyond traditional promotion.
