What is a citation?
• Citing or cite is short for citation.
• Citation means telling the reader where you
found the fact. Examples might be
  Wikipedia, Online Britannica, Career Tool
  Kit, College Data.
• You cite a source so it is not plagiarism.
When to cite a source?
• You cite a source in the text right after the fact
  is used.
George Washington was a very famous general and
the first president of the United States. He lived
   from 1732 to 1799 (bio.com).
• You also cite a source in the bibliography at
the end of the paper. Sometimes this is also
  known as Works Cited section.
How to cite in text-
• When you cite in-text ( in the paragraphs of the
paper), you place the drilled down website after
the fact or groups of facts given by that website.
George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in
Westmoreland County, Virginia (bio.com). Washington was an
American general and commander-in-chief of the colonial
armies in the American Revolution 1775–83 (wikpedia.org)
and, subsequently, the first president of the United States 1789–
97 (bio.com). He died on December 14, 1799 in Mount
     Vernon, Virginia (ushistory.edu).
Note that the website comes before the period in
 the sentence.

          works cited page-
• You must include several things in this order
and with the same punctuation :
  – Title of the website.
  – Date of publication, copyright or last update.

But how do I find these things?
  washington-9524786

• If you can not find all the information, cite
what you do find in the recommended order.
So it would look like this-
