This PowerPoint presentation defines information literacy as requiring individuals to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate, and effectively use that information. It outlines the 5 stages of information literacy as know, access, evaluate, use, and ethical/legal use. Examples are provided of properly citing images, charts, and tables from websites in MLA style within PowerPoint slides. The last slide contains a works cited list, as is typical in MLA papers.
